Tomorrow night they will surprise the Rangers.  Take that momentum a step further against the Caps.  Pack it all up and take it to the frozen tundra that is Winterpeg (hey, oh @Thorny and @Ducky and GO BOMBERS!!) and just keep rolling into the Christmas break.

In a sense we would be better off restarting as an expansion team.  We'd have a better roster, and not an entrenched losing culture.  And fans would show up at the games. As the one commentator reported, eyes will be on Buffalo about this attendance. The rest of the owners cannot be happy with Terry.  He has put out now, officially by the end of this season, an historically bad product.  No team has gone 11 years with no playoffs.

I don't believe that. The culture isn't the problem, its the goaltending now.

To think, when the Pegulas bought this team we were 15th overall, and we've never gotten that high since, and usually not even close to that level.

It takes a special kind of skill to be this incompetent for this long.

Weren't we in last place? Then we went on that sweet run to the playoffs, no?

Ennis goal in game 5 OT probably the last truly great Sabres moment, I guess?

The run seemed to coincide with rumours of Pegula buying the team. They definitely weren't in last place (defined how?) on 2/22/11.

They were 27-25-6 and five points out of eighth on that fateful day — the day Buddy Ebsen couldn't pick Perreault out of police lineup, said Lindy wasn't going anywhere, challenged the press to tell him what Darcy had done wrong, said of Regier that he could "work with him," urged the Buffalo News to be more positive in its coverage to help the players perform better, and said he liked "hard-working, gritty players."

Thanks, that's right.

I doubt they were in 15th overall either then, if they were 5 points out of 8th in the east. But ya.

They did finish the season in 15th place. They went 16-4-4 after that fateful day, on which Elly May was not introduced as co-owner, sat quietly in the front row, made sandwiches after the presser and dutifully accepted her assignment to redecorate the lockerroom.

They bought the team in Feb. 2011.

2010/11 we had 43 wins good for 7th place in the the conference and 15th league wide. The following year we dropped to 19th. then 23rd, and then the two bottom tank years and so on.

This is getting pedantic but my point was merely that, standings wise, they actually improved in season from the point he bought the team. The following season, it crashed, yes.

Well that's the real point isn't it. The rest is details. Took a bit of time for his meddling and new direction to have an impact.

Bottom line, Terry and Kim have ruined this team, because "they know better."

Going up to a downright balmy 39F on Sunday!

The Bombers should dominate this Sunday in Hamilton for the repeat!

GO BOMBERS!!!!!

As soon as we will have pair of good goalies in the net we will have a winning streak. Tokarski and UPL look not bad, but we need someone like Price as number 1.

The Habs are going in rebuild mode, maybe they and Price want to part ways. That salary though…
