I am still confused about the re-injury to the wrist and a limp down the tunnel.

Also, Hamilton apparently reported on this, but he's blocked me on Twitter. No idea why.

I don't know anyone who isn't blocked by Hamilton.

So strange. I've tried to remain open to the guy, but that sort of stuff is just so indicative of him being a thin-skinned doofus.

Honestly I think the vid from SDS covered it lol

That looked like the right ankle or knee was injured the way he pulled up on the play. Didn't look like Nick really did much of anything to him. Certainly doesn't look like he caught him in the hand/wrist area.

Too soon to say injury-prone?

Definitely too soon.

Oh, unless he's a Sabre for life. Then he's absolutely injury prone - as are all players who play here, who are at the mercy of our crack medical staff.

Kidding.

Not a penalty of course....

I didn’t see a penalty.  A quick slash but if that hurt him then something is wrong.

it’s seems to indicate he was out for something more sever than a wrist.

In my head "day-to-day" means will be back within a week. "Week to week" can be up to but not exceed 6 weeks. "Month-to month" out for 6+ weeks onwards.

Of course, words no longer have meaning. The Sabres are spiritually dead.

That's a very good heuristic.  I like it.

day-to-day: a player is being evaluated on a daily basis

Stop with the logical posts.

We need more vagueness to instigate conjecture around here.

Poor Mitts. Damn. Wasted developmental season for him … so far.

Bummer. For him and the Sabres. It'd be nice to see the team at full strength, even if briefly.

day-to-day: a player appears to be horrifically injured... but is fine in the next scene

week-to-week: a player requires a swim in a Bacta tank

month-to-month: a player is encased in a metal suit with limb replacement

Much better. Now I can sleep better knowing the true nature of the injury to Mitts.

Opponents hit our players with anger while we play softly like kids. Just look at our players when the Ducks make the first goal. Milano and Zergas did all what they want. We must defend gates, goalie, players! It's hockey!

In the time it took Zergas to position the puck properly on his stick, why didn’t anybody check him?  Were they just watching?

This is how I think in terms of a time frame.

I thought it to be rational.

Another rational answer.

I shouldn’t need a secret decoder ring to determine how long a player will be injured for.  Every other sport seems to give proper designations, hockey is like “Here are these totally ambiguous terms, go figure it out”.

NFL: probable, questionable, doubtful, out.

Translated: maybe but probably yes, we have no idea, maybe but probably not like the maybe you give your kids when they ask for a pony for Christmas, no

In my mind, those football designations are clear as day.
