Sabres Fan in NS Posted November 28, 2021 Report Posted November 28, 2021 Who ?? Did they claim that stiff goalie from the Senators? We need all the stiffs. Quote
Taro T Posted November 28, 2021 Report Posted November 28, 2021 So, Hayden to the press box or Murray to the press box. Guessing it's Hayden coming out of the lineup. Does this move Girgensons back to W as well? Quote
Bangarang Posted November 28, 2021 Report Posted November 28, 2021 Could this mean Mitts is on his way back to the lineup? 1 Quote
Brawndo Posted November 28, 2021 Author Report Posted November 28, 2021 (edited) He has to go on waivers to be assigned to Rochester since he now has a NHL Contract Edited November 28, 2021 by Brawndo Quote
thewookie1 Posted November 28, 2021 Report Posted November 28, 2021 (edited) I’m guessing he’ll be waived tomorrow or as soon as Mitts is ready. With Caggiula out we needed a bot 6 sub and R2 hasn’t worked out in any such role this year. Edited November 28, 2021 by thewookie1 Quote
Gatorman0519 Posted November 28, 2021 Report Posted November 28, 2021 I had high hopes for R2 at the end of last season. Too bad he hasn’t been effective this year. Quote
Weave Posted November 28, 2021 Report Posted November 28, 2021 Jankowski part of a trade package for a goalie (E3) 1 1 Quote

The opening night top line was Skinner-Mitts-Hinostroza. I thought for sure Ruotsalainen would supplant Hino and have maybe the most surprising year of all our forwards. 4 minutes ago, Weave said: Jankowski part of a trade package for a goalie (E3) If going that route, it'd be more likely to be Eakin. He's been having a solid season this year. Plus his salary is larger, so we'd have to shed that to remain efficient and economical. Effectiveness may vary. Overall though, I like the move. Get a bottom 6 center in the lineup. Push Girgensons back to the wing where he's been better throughout his career. And let R2 play minutes rather than languish in the press box if we're going to skate Hayden instead of him. 4 Quote
Indabuff Posted November 28, 2021 Report Posted November 28, 2021 The retired Raiders kicker?! They really are desperate. Quote
Norcal Posted November 28, 2021 Report Posted November 28, 2021 Loaning R2 means two weeks max right? Quote
bob_sauve28 Posted November 28, 2021 Report Posted November 28, 2021 R2 looked to me to be not giving 100% before he was sat out. I was not surprised to see him sit. Signing this guy allows for more competition amount the forwards without hav8ng to call up another prospect, I’m guessing. 1 Quote

GASabresIUFAN Posted November 28, 2021 Report Posted November 28, 2021 I’ve been asking for real center depth and Jankowski is a solid addition to the bottom six. He is a legit NHL center which we need. He is playing well for the Amerks and this change is about 2 weeks overdue. 2 Quote
Popular Post Doohicksie Posted November 28, 2021 Popular Post Report Posted November 28, 2021 I expect he will be highly motivated; this could be his last shot at the NHL. (He has 253 NHL games so far, and has played most of three seasons with Calgary before signing with Pittsburgh last year.) I think it's a ploy to get the Polish population of Buffalo back to the KBC, you betcher dupah! 1 10 Quote

dudacek Posted November 28, 2021 Report Posted November 28, 2021 Jankowski has played well from what I’ve seen in Rochester - he’s big and fast and a bit of a dick (in a good way). I don’t expect big things, but I do expect he can replace the Drake and be a better fit in the bottom 6 than R2. Hope R2 rediscovers his offence in Rochester. To my mind he’s looked overmatched this year in Buffalo. 1 Quote
Stoner Posted November 28, 2021 Report Posted November 28, 2021 A new low for the Sabres. At his age? Is he even in shape? Quote
