I'm rea!ly beginning to question how Dalin was touted so much. Seriously, he seems average at best. Maybe dazzingly average but average nevertheless.

How can you be a professional hockey player and NOT be mentally in the game for several games in a row?  Early in the season no less.

Apparently, Blue and Gold has that effect on all hockey players. Or it cpuld just be this organisation that’s disgustingly poor.

Dahlin is playing with a linemate that has an AHL talent level.  When he looks at the forwards about half of them are not NHL players either.  Fix these two things and Dahlin will all of a sudden be a lot better.

I think that's code for them being tired. Not in full game shape yet.

Dahlin: turnover machine.

That 's all well and good, but how can we explain his unforced errors that require no help from his lesser teammates?

Perhaps, but isn't Dahlin supposed to be good enough to elevate the play of his linemates?  Jack could make things happen all by himself without much other talent on the ice with him.

Whatever happened to "shoot the puck"?!?!

The St. Louis Blues would like to call BS on your assertion.

That’s blue and yellow.

Pssst.  Unless you're talking about the 50th Anniversary jerseys, the Sabres jerseys are yellow too.

(And don't mellow my harsh, man.)

Are we making excuses to try and rationalize his playing poorly.

Hammy had same observation. Suggested pairing him with Pysik would be a better compliment.

Jack is better than Dahlin.  With Jack gone Dahlin is the top talent for now. He is not playing like it right now.   Give him time and give him a better cast.  The NHL is loaded with great defensemen that had periods of ineffective play in their early years.  He is still learning, all by himself with no mentor as a line mate, … he is going to mature and get better someday.
