Milquetoast Wings.

from wiki - In 1983, while playing in the American Hockey League (AHL), under the direction of rookie coach Mike Keenan, James scored the winning goal for the Rochester Americans in the Calder Cup.

Listening to Zemgus Girgensons pregame press interview.  Reflecting on the milestone of his 500th NHL game. Absolutely loved hearing him say how much it meant to him being with the same organization his entire career, it's an honor to be with the Sabres, and "I don't want to be anywhere else."

He sounds mature and I can see why Granato clearly points to him (and Okposo of course) as a genuine leader on this team.

Here's to seeing the Latvian Locomotive score tonight against the Red Wings! (The same team he played his 1st NHL game against in which he also scored his 1st NHL goal)

Season 4 Flirting GIF by Friends

Girgs interview pregame gave me chills.  He’s clearly a leader and takes several pride in donning the blue and gold. I can see why the Pegulas paid him over market.  Kinda guy you need on the team.  Maybe Captain Material but if he’s a 3rd 4th liner can that really work.
