SwampD Posted November 3, 2021 Report Posted November 3, 2021 Dahlin,… he’s a pretty defenseman. Quote
Wyldnwoody44 Posted November 3, 2021 Report Posted November 3, 2021 This is a very very ugly game from what I've seen, very unimpressed compared to their earlier efforts this season. Quote
Billznut Posted November 3, 2021 Report Posted November 3, 2021 Sabres have been outscored 5-0 in the 3rd period on this west coast trip so far. Not good. Quote
North Buffalo Posted November 3, 2021 Report Posted November 3, 2021 Could someone elevate sauce a pass pleease... so many flat passes hitting Shark sticks Quote
bunomatic Posted November 3, 2021 Report Posted November 3, 2021 I’m out. That was painful watching the Sabres turn the puck over all night. Lack of talent indeed. If they keep this up Granato will start to sound like Ralph. Quote
Norcal Posted November 3, 2021 Report Posted November 3, 2021 Sneaky little play by Hagg there on Cogliano. Quote
Pimlach Posted November 3, 2021 Report Posted November 3, 2021 There are potholes on Hertel that’ll lessen up your girdle. Quote

I'm saying maybe someday Cozens can be what Couture is now -- a 50+ point center year-after-year. Right now they are a gross mismatch. (Also remember, those SJ teams were stacked with studs in their primes (Thornton, Marleau, Pavelski). Also, I doubt Thompson ever has a season as good as Hertl has had (74 points), but maybe he can do the 30-40 points that Hertl puts up year-in and -out. That's the hope anyway. Yeah, let's hope. But Cozens really doesn't do much right now. Still very early to judge, but between him and Dahlin, a couple high picks not contributing much right now. 1 Quote
Norcal Posted November 3, 2021 Report Posted November 3, 2021 Meatballs better skate these ***** tomorrow. They played a sloppy game tonight turning the puck over all over the ice. 2 1 Quote

Pimlach Posted November 3, 2021 Report Posted November 3, 2021 “Evander Kane vacuum”. Sharks announcer declaring “addition by subtraction”. Quote
SwampD Posted November 3, 2021 Report Posted November 3, 2021 Cozens is so much better than he realizes. I wonder if he wouldn’t benefit from some time in the A. Quote

But from midway (after scoring to tie it at 1) through the first they've looked hesitant and sloppy. Nice working goal. Skinner's gotta get hot. 2 Quote
Norcal Posted November 3, 2021 Report Posted November 3, 2021 Atleast Skinner is starting to score Quote

Pimlach Posted November 3, 2021 Report Posted November 3, 2021 (edited) We are seeing the real team now I’m afraid to say. We can play fast at times. We are young and we try hard. The lack of talent and lack of size is getting obvious. Edited November 3, 2021 by Pimlach 7 Quote
North Buffalo Posted November 3, 2021 Report Posted November 3, 2021 Dahlin passes when he should have shot too much of that tonite Quote
thewookie1 Posted November 3, 2021 Report Posted November 3, 2021 Bucci was right about the fact all night they looked slightly out of sync. A myriad of scoring chances hitting skates oddly or stick heels. Glad to see the battle until the end regardless. We need Samuelsson up here to help create some defensive presence. 4 Quote
DarthEbriate Posted November 3, 2021 Report Posted November 3, 2021 The forwards without Mitts and Olofsson is really scary. They can't all be JAGs. Good that Eakin's back, but that line didn't look cohesive yet and we need them to be steadying and cagey and beasty. The other note I have is that a few times each game, yes, go for that shot-rebound off the far pad when your fellow winger is coming through the opposite dot. But... tonight every shot was from the blue line hoping for that rebound. Nothing pushing into the slot. Make them defend. Or... hold onto it and get set up in the zone instead. We had a few good instances of prolonged zone time but mostly kept it to the outside which we weren't doing earlier in the season. 1 Quote
