Don't have ESPN+, so listening to this one.  Hate to keep saying it, but Dan Dunleavy is really not very good at describing the action in a way where I can visualize it.  I wish they could find somebody better.

Dunleavy always has been and always will be horrible. And on radio only he’s 1000x worse.  Highly doubt the Sabres will hire anyone to replace him. Most likely we are stuck with Dunleavy for the next 15-20 years. Now that’s depressing.

The difference is turnovers are ending up on skilled sticks

Yep. Them capitalizing off their very few chances is due to the difference in talent they have.

The Boston commentators are astounded how empty the building is. Never seen it like that.

No doubt. And for some reason people mistakenly thought it would be close to a sell out tonight. Although sadly this probably will be one of the biggest crowds of the year.

People want to see “stars”. We have none. We have an entire team of 3rd liners. Love the effort but we are completely outclassed.

edit: Just saw a shot of the arena. Not sure if there is 5000 people there… wow

The Bruins can handle our tenacity and have the skill to counter it. They also have the body size to bounce off Sabres checks and knock the undersized folks (for example, Butcher) either off the puck or down entirely. Previous opponents did not have these talents. Boston was embarrassed last game and came to play tonight. The Sabres must score before the end of the second to have an advantage of wearing them down with speed in the 3rd. The first goal is going to be the most difficult.

Said before he stinks. Wants to do commentary not play bh play. Always behind the play. On radio he's especially terrible.

I dint wish for it. Just want to see what they do now. Hasn't happened yet so will they keep playing that pesky style or?

so it's either 'hard working' or 'pesky' if your team is lacking talent.

It's the way I'm describing their early style of play.

Call it whatever you want.

Yup, small crowd
