That Aud Smell Posted October 15, 2021 Report Posted October 15, 2021 (edited) For Mittlestadt, I was worried it was gonna be more like 2-3 months, as it appeared he took a hack to his gloves before leaving the game. Edited November 10, 2021 by That Aud Smell 1 Quote

Thorner Posted October 15, 2021 Report Posted October 15, 2021 This isn't good news. Given track record, the "at least" wording is very troubling for me Quote
carpandean Posted October 15, 2021 Report Posted October 15, 2021 Couldn't we put their good halves together and make one healthy player? 5 Quote

dudacek Posted October 15, 2021 Report Posted October 15, 2021 These are two key members of our "blinding light" brigade who will be missing a lot of opportunities in this year of development. Quote
Taro T Posted October 15, 2021 Report Posted October 15, 2021 Still not sure what happened to Mittelstadt. It didn't look like anything happened to him, but the shift before the PP 1/2 way through the 2nd period, he just skated off the ice & straight down the tunnel. Wonder if Gallagher's hacking him on the 2 on 1 w/ Hinostrosa broke something. Never saw what happened to Jokiharju. Wanted him and Dahlin separated but not this way. 1 Quote

Digger Posted October 15, 2021 Report Posted October 15, 2021 Well stating the obvious, injuries happen every season and it's usually disappointing to have to adapt but it's early. Let's hope that Mittelstadt and Jokiharju recover quickly and fully and come back strong and let's hope that the injury bug does not spread to anyone else. Ruotsalainen and Butcher you're up and Borgen if you want to come back via waivers you will be welcome. 3 Quote

Thorner Posted October 15, 2021 Report Posted October 15, 2021 Plus side - his replacement actually might not be too far off from his level right now (Ruotsalainen) Down side - we had Casey at 1C. The replacement is closer than it should be because we were weak on C depth to begin with. Right shot count also down to 2, on the defensive side. Injuries wreak even more havoc when depth chart is shaky to begin with. Though, if anyone can keep team moral up through this, it's Granato. Quote
Taro T Posted October 15, 2021 Report Posted October 15, 2021 Hate seeing that it's a broken wrist for Mittelstadt. His mitts are his game. Hopefully there's no soft tissue damage to go with it. 3 Quote
Carmel Corn Posted October 15, 2021 Report Posted October 15, 2021 Not good news. Let's hope the rest can stay healthy for a while as we have little depth that is NHL ready. 1 Quote
Norcal Posted October 15, 2021 Report Posted October 15, 2021 Well that sucks. Feel for Mittlestadt. Hopefully he stays connected to the team and rehabs and gets back to health soon. 2 Quote
K-9 Posted October 15, 2021 Report Posted October 15, 2021 Unlike previous squads who would have used an injury to a key player or two as an excuse to underachieve, I can’t see Granato letting them fall into that trap. Next man up. No sulking and feeling sorry for ourselves allowed. 3 1 Quote
