When you publish information that is already public, you cite your sources. 1

LGR4GM Posted January 27, 2022 Report Posted January 27, 2022 I honestly don't get why they keep a team in Arizona.

Buffalo in the NHL seems a no-brainer. But since when have the half wits running the league been known to get no-brainer correct? Edited January 27, 2022 by Taro T Friggin' auto correct
French Collection Posted January 27, 2022 Report Posted January 27, 2022 Bettman may want to prop that team up until Matthews goes there in a couple of years. I still can’t believe it will survive. Sinkhole for money.

Because Phoenix is the 11th largest television market in the US and doesn't have the lowest ratings. Doesn't matter if the team is hemorrhaging money if the carrot of more money is dangling in front of the ass.

(Sunrise FLA being the other prime example.) The land is cheap for a reason; you can't afford giving the casual fan (which is predominant in non-traditional markets) a ready made excuse to not go. (It's too long of a drive. Waaah.)

I think Matthews goes home to the desert after the Yotes get two high draft picks over the next couple years and rebuild their roster to accept him.

And they'll never have scheduling priority over the Rockets there. They'd also be playing in a city that's football crazy that couldn't / wouldn't sell out a 65k football stadium during a 7 year playoff run unless the Stillers, Browns, or Pokes were in town. Just sayin'.
LabattBlue Posted January 28, 2022 Report Posted January 28, 2022 It’s too bad Eichel is not ready to go for tonight’s Knights vs Panthers matchup. Could be a preview of the Stanley Cup finals.
Ducky Posted January 28, 2022 Report Posted January 28, 2022 Our starting defenseman for tonight's game... Dillon Schmidt Beaulieu Pionk Heinola Kovacevic We are in trouble. 1
