Zadorov would have had to get down to a 3-pt stance to be at the same level as Kase 😉 Zadorov likes to use his body, but IMHO it didn't look like a deliberate intent to injure.

Expand I think what I notice is that Kase is turning into Zadorov to initiate the contact, he quickly taps the pass up and out of the zone while turning towards Zadorov to initiate the hit.
