JujuFish Posted April 24, 2006 Report Posted April 24, 2006 I have a physics lab 7:30-10:30, so I'll miss most of it, unfortunately. Let's go Buffalo! I smell a 2-0 series lead on the horizon.

LabattBlue Posted April 24, 2006 Report Posted April 24, 2006 Esche comes back to earth tonight...Buffalo 6 Philadelphia 3
Spandrel Posted April 24, 2006 Report Posted April 24, 2006 Esche comes back to earth tonight...Buffalo 6 Philadelphia 3 That is what I am wondering. Philly may have squandered a super-human effort by Esche in Game 1. No way do I see him repeating that performance of 50+ saves. We have to do a better job at finishing. We had a lot of good looks in Game 1, but after Esche made some good saves, we started "pressing" and hurrying shots. Patience will be the key. That being said, it will be interesting to see the kind of emotion that Philly plays with tonight. How are their legs going to feel after that extra session on Saturday night. Philly seemed to skate with us in the 3rd period on Saturday, but we'll see how fresh they are tonight in the 3rd.
SHAAAUGHT!!! Posted April 24, 2006 Report Posted April 24, 2006 I don't know if Philly is going to be able to score 3 goals against Miller since the play will probably be in there end most of the night, again.
hopeleslyobvious Posted April 24, 2006 Report Posted April 24, 2006 I think they are going to keep pouring it on tonight. I expect them to come out with a lot of confidence, and jump out to an early lead and never look back.
envirojeff Posted April 24, 2006 Report Posted April 24, 2006 The D better snap out of it and show up tonight! If the D was tighter, game one would have been alot shorter. Play smart tonight guy's. Jeff

Play smart tonight guy's. Jeff not to sound like a jerk..but the Flyers had 30 shots in 4 1/2 periods..pretty good D, with an occasional Brain lapse...

I hear ya, what I'm talking about it the sloppy play throught the game (at times) that gave them a spark when it could have been prevented. Remember the first :30? Jeff

Remember the first :30? Jeff Good point, but remember in those first 30 seconds, Tallinder saved a goal as well.
topshelfcookies Posted April 24, 2006 Report Posted April 24, 2006 I think the first goal wins tonight. It's really important for the Sabres to hop out to an early lead again tonight, and not let Philly feel like they can hang around with the Sabres, despite being outplayed.
sabre31_98 Posted April 24, 2006 Report Posted April 24, 2006 I have the feeling that they will be better tonight. Some of the play in our own end was atrocious on Saturday. I think Lydman had something like 7 turnovers himself. Obviously they won that game so any improvment tonight will make them even tougher to beat. Man I would love to go to Philly 2-0. How huge would that be???
Peace Frog Posted April 24, 2006 Report Posted April 24, 2006 J P Dumont scoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooorrrrrrrrreeeesssssssss!!!!! Drury scoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooorrrrrreeeesss!!!!!!! 2-0, Buffalo!!!!
blugold43 Posted April 24, 2006 Report Posted April 24, 2006 YEAAAAHHHHH!!!! THAT'S WHAT I WANTED TO SEE- KOTALIK BLASTING AWAY AGAIN! 3-0 BUFFALO!
Peace Frog Posted April 24, 2006 Report Posted April 24, 2006 3-0, nothing. It's 4-0 Buffalo!!!!!!!!!
PromoTheRobot Posted April 24, 2006 Report Posted April 24, 2006 5-0!!! Flyers are getting Umbergered!!! PTR
mphs mike Posted April 24, 2006 Report Posted April 24, 2006 5-0!!! Flyers are getting Umbergered!!! PTR PTR That quote belongs in the RJ/Ted Darling Hall of Fame!!!!!!!!!
X. Benedict Posted April 25, 2006 Report Posted April 25, 2006 It just occurred to me that if Esche had a 50percent save percentage Sat. night Buffalo would have scored 24 goals. We are only on a pace for 15 tonight.
Bmwolf21 Posted April 25, 2006 Report Posted April 25, 2006 WTF? TSN just switched coverage to the NYR-NJ game....which I am already getting on OLN! WTF????
bills_fan_in_raleigh Posted April 25, 2006 Report Posted April 25, 2006 same thing here it thank god for sirius
HurlyBurly51 Posted April 25, 2006 Report Posted April 25, 2006 Yeah, I've got Sirius on now. Even the Comcast webcast is showing the Devils game. Something has to be done about this. We pay the Center Ice fees to watch the game of our choosing - not have them switch off on their own whim. OK, back on now. Calm....
Spandrel Posted April 25, 2006 Report Posted April 25, 2006 Philly is just absolutely losing their cool out there. The Philly fans are all complaining about the number of penalties, but Philly is earning every one of them with their frustrated play. This series is only going to get uglier once it gets back to Philly, and their "classy" fans (most of whom don't care if they lose 15-0 so long as they end one of the Sabres seasons by injury).
scottnc Posted April 25, 2006 Report Posted April 25, 2006 I just hope the refs keep it under control in the 3rd. Someone is going to get hurt. Vanek is lucky he managed to do a sommersault or he could have been seriously injured. This is the downside to playing in a blowout. The losing team tends to lose their cool and take cheap shots.
