French Collection Posted January 8, 2022 Report Posted January 8, 2022 Maybe he goes to the KHL where there is decent money to be made and there are fewer “rules”. His creditors and other baggage could be left behind. 1 Quote
Eleven Posted January 8, 2022 Report Posted January 8, 2022 It really sux when someone so talented goes off the rails. Evander Kane, Antonio Brown, Brian Spencer, Amy Winehouse, whatever. 1 Quote

I’ve heard stories about players paid in cash from brown paper bags. I doubt there is a KHLPA to watch over the treatment of players. Spitballing here but maybe you can bet on your own games and make tons on the side. Quote

The Chinese team couldn't pay its coaches a few years ago, the entire thing is shady. But it is the political authorities I was referring to. He puts a toe out of line, he's in Siberia or worse. DarthEbriate Posted January 8, 2022 Report Posted January 8, 2022 All San Jose had to do was wait for him to mess up and be able to terminate the contract and free up the cap space. Kane complied. It's too bad he can't get out of his own way, because he's a darn good middle six winger with oodles of upside. Poor shot selection perhaps, but capable of 30 goals in the right situations. 1 Quote

Kane would never make there. Fewer rules is not what he needs. You think there is racism in North America and not n Russia? Quote
bunomatic Posted January 10, 2022 Report Posted January 10, 2022 (edited) I keep seeing those stacks of cash he was showing off. Don’t feel nothing for the guy really. Everything is self inflicted. Good luck. a quick google search brought me to an article from may in the athletic . 26 million in debt with assets of 10.2 million. Edited January 10, 2022 by bunomatic Quote
dudacek Posted January 10, 2022 Report Posted January 10, 2022 Nice to listen to the local radio guys debate the pros and cons of signing Kane and not have to worry about him coming here. 3 1 Quote

I think he had a banana thrown at him years back and the KHL condemned it. You'll find that crap everywhere but if Kane goes there and performs he can make some serious coin. Quote

I'll repeat that it's not the lack of on-ice rules; it's the authoritarian governments of a number of countries. He's more likely to end up in gulag than suspended. Thorner Posted January 11, 2022 Report Posted January 11, 2022 The McEichel draft was merely a determination of which player would get to have their franchise torpedoed by an ill-timed EK addition, first. Jokes. 1 Quote
