  1. 1. Which of these best describes what you think the Sabres will get from Miller this year?

    • He's going to be leaned on as a top 4 D, have his best season as a Sabre and get flipped at the deadline for a 3rd
    • He's going to be leaned on as a top 4 D, be overmatched and get dumped at the deadline for very little
    • He's going to be a JAG in the bottom 4, playing out the string

Miller was a 5th-rounder who the Los Angeles Kings flipped to the Bruins in the Milan Lucic package, after he earned some notoriety by winning both the hardest shot and fastest skater competitions at the AHL all-star game.

He was picked by Vegas in the expansion draft, and broke out along with his team, anchoring their PP and scoring more than 40 points during that Cinderella debut season run to the Stanley Cup finals.

He earned a fair amount of notoriety as an analytics darling with Vegas and Jason Botterill spent a 2nd and a 5th to add him to a growing collection of puck-moving RD.

Miller's season last year echoed his first in Buffalo, as he failed to cement a spot in the top 4, or time on the PP and instead bounced in and out of the lineup.

He is a pending UFA.

What do you expect from Miller this season?

Leaned on for top 4 minutes and disappointment seems to be the most likely result.

Hes not a top 4 defender, but he will be used that way this season.

He will have the hardest shot on the team and consistently miss the net a la Zhitnik, thus causing multiple turnovers leading to odd man rushes against... That our goalies are incapable of stopping.

So yeah.
