But I agree that this move seems forced and Adams has done a terrible job with the centre position.

Right on bold. The Appert quote just reeks of narrative spinning to me. 

That they have determined a 19 year old prospect who struggled last year (and struggled at C in Roch) is just so talented they need to get him to C to maximize this gold-mine is a truly poor attempt at determining Occam's Razor when "dearth that the position" is RIGHT THERE staring us in the face. 

They moved Quinn to C because they didn't acquire any. That's what happened.

That seems backwards.    So only folks who live in WNY and who can actually attend the game are permitted to watch it online?   OK Sabres.

There is an agreed upon prospect criteria by all the teams involved.  It may change from year to year.  Who knows what it is this year, but either the Sabres view him as making the team, and don't want to risk injury, or the criteria eliminated him from participating.
