This seems to be the pattern.  

First go everyone gets 750K.

Now two at $2.5M for 3 years.

To KA's credit he is committing to these kids, creating some cost certainty and some stability with these deals.

Seems a smidge high but not egregiously so.

Now get the friggin' Dahlin extension done (and at 8 years, not 3).

I've been very vocal about my distain for tank 2.0.  I hoped KA would build on the growth the team showed under Granato in the final 25 games last season. Instead KA opted for tank 2.0.  Oh well.

I like it and think it's a good contract for Jokiharju to sign.  Another 3 year deal for a promising young player.

Tanking isn’t necessary to finish last as we are all too painfully aware, so I don’t see KA having “opted” for it at all.

I posted this in the Mitts thread. This is great to have players choose STAY instead of leave. I worry Dahlin is on the fence. But he likes Granato and now Mitts and his D-partner have re-upped.  Positive momentum.
