I think I'd rather be there and directly show appreciation. I owe him at least that much. Of course one could listen from one's seat. At least I think so. Not on a smart phone, which would be delayed, but with a portable radio. I honestly have no idea if such a gizmo still exists.

I would love it if ESPN asks RJ to call a Cup Finals game.  Obviously the Sabres won’t be there but it would be great to gear him on a national broadcast to cap his career.

On The Instigators yesterday, Rivet asked him what he'll miss the most. Rick said he can't answer it yet; ask him again next year. "I might be back." Maybe it was a joke. I couldn't tell.
