Eleven Posted April 24, 2006 Report Posted April 24, 2006 I wasn't able to see the game & this plus the thread about the racist Flyers fans makes me wonder what Grier did last night. Was it one big hit or something or just a really good game?
topshelfcookies Posted April 24, 2006 Report Posted April 24, 2006 To be honest Eleven, I didn't think Grier really did anything really unusual last night. He played a really solid, high intensity game. He was pretty much hitting everything in sight, and was mucking it up with anyone and everyone wearing orange and black after the play. There was a nice (clean) hit on Forseberg up along the boards, that caused Forseberg to suddenly grab his wrist for 3.2 seconds, then recover. This got (I think) Hatcher all fired up, and caused him to skate cross ice after the whistle and go after Grier. My Dad kept saying that Grier was playing like Barnaby used to vs. Philly.

Was it one big hit or something or just a really good game? That one. And I really want the Sabres to re-sign the guy. Maybe if we keep him around long enough Pyatt will understand what HE is supposed to be and do. (I'm not holding my breath but hope springs eternal.)
