DarthEbriate Posted July 28, 2021 Report Posted July 28, 2021 Butcher > Meszaros So that's good. 1 Quote

Maybe LHD is Adams' version of Botterill's RHD. And G is Adams' answer to Botterill's C. But Adams also trades the good centres away too. 1 Quote
Doohicksie Posted July 28, 2021 Report Posted July 28, 2021 Somehow I thought the return for Jack would be more..... substantial. Quote

Obviously, in their primes (Butcher now, Meszaros in like...2008,2010?), then Meszaros was the better player. Quote

Huckleberry Posted July 28, 2021 Report Posted July 28, 2021 At least we can flip him to a contender at the deadline I suppose. 1 Quote
dudacek Posted July 28, 2021 Report Posted July 28, 2021 Yet another good college player who hasn't been good enough to translate his college success to the NHL. Can he play the right side? Or is there a lefty being moved in a trade? He's basically Bryson, so our left side looks like: Dahlin Bryson/Butcher Samuelsson/Hagg Quote

LabattBlue Posted July 28, 2021 Report Posted July 28, 2021 I had 530pm in the trade pool...but it was supposed to be the Eichel trade...not Abdullah the Butcher. 😂 1 Quote
dudacek Posted July 28, 2021 Report Posted July 28, 2021 Doubt it's happening or the Sabres wouldn't have bothered to do a write-up on him, but a retained Butcher has value in an Eichel swap to Minny (or maybe others) Quote

Rasmus_ Posted July 28, 2021 Report Posted July 28, 2021 Butcher is a decent addition on the back end, and we got a pick. Use cap wisely, and this is a good addition. Quote

In a vacuum it's a decent no-cost acquisition with a chance to rebound. He's not filling any particular hole in the Sabres lineup though. Quote
Rasmus_ Posted July 28, 2021 Report Posted July 28, 2021 I'd rather add Butcher and a pick, than Ladd and picks 😄 Quote
