Bjork, Caggiula, Hinostrozza...

Gentlemen, we have a type.

Asked this in the other thread, but it'll probably get lost there.

They swapped to royal blue from navy last year.  Is the next color change to "smurf blue?"

This also implies that guys like R2 and Asplund could be moving to center.

Short and needing an opportunity

Maybe, but this guy also is listed as a C in many places and has played a lot of C. Another option at C I guess, or wing

https://frozenpool.dobbersports.com/players/vinnie-hinostroza

Played almost exclusively C in Arizona, more W in Chicago

Won't block anyone

Yep we all want to get bigger and tougher to play against and they keep adding smurfs...

One solid year in the desert. Terrible with Florida but was actually decent when Chicago got him back in a trade.

Terrible from a stats perspective, or terrible I’ve watched every game he has played in?

0 points in 9 games. Not the best sample but it literally couldn't be worse.

Here's a good CHI perspective; https://www.secondcityhockey.com/2021/5/26/22448019/vinnie-hinostroza-chicago-blackhawks-unrestricted-free-agent-2021-nhl-free-agency-resign

Sounds streaky. Low risk signing for depth. Curious what the contract may be.

My point is you have not seen him play on a regular basis(nor have I), so why not reserve the criticism until he plays as a Sabre?

Our philosophy is clearly draft and sign guys with big long names. They are either trying to force RJ into retirement or convince him to stay on with the opportunities for creativity, depending on how you want to look at it.

and who would blame poor RJ for giving up and retiring...I wanted so bad to win a cup (or even make the playoffs) for him before he retires.
