Has Power’s play slipped at all, or just his production?

One would hope that the disappointment of the Olympics and the WJCs might fuel the desire for a great Frozen 4 run, but the investigation into Michigan has to put some oil in those waters.

Jet lag? Covid-19? Nagging injury sustained in Beijing?
Levi seems fine since his return but Power has not been on the score sheet.

What are his numbers like since?

Bloom, Kozak, Nadeau and Cederqvist should be offered ELCs, with the three former given ATOs with Rochester when their seasons end.  Per Cap Friendly the three CHL Players Contracts will not count towards the 50 Contract Limit when they are returned to their Junior Teams.

So how does this work, any CHL contract that is still slide eligible doesn’t count towards the 50?

Idk if this needs a thread but Krebs isn't quite cutting it

Is he giving up possession by choice because he thinks it’s the best option or is he giving it up quickly because he finds himself incapable of maintaining control when pressured? Or both?

I think both.

For as much grief as Dahlin gets for bad passes, it's stunning Krebs gets almost none. Sure the one that connect are great but Krebs skates towards the goal and tosses the puck to the middle. That's his go to thing.

Just comes down to expectations

Correct as long as the player is returned to the CHL.

He hasn’t played well at all, minimal offense contributions with 5v5, and has been a defensive black hole. Hopefully the new line mates, Hello Rasmus Asplund, will help

Krebs shows flashes in both skill and tenacity, but really would benefit from another chunk of time in Rochester. Because of injuries and COVID (real and false positives), Krebs has bounced all over the lineup. Before March and teaming up with Rasmus and VO, he was often with Okposo or Cozens in a more defensive role (miscast), or on Mitts' wing when Mitts clearly needed a rehab stint. Krebs will have that shield down the game slow down; we've gotta give him more time!

The important part is keeping this new line together and injury-free for a couple weeks, especially if Victor continues to heal. VO did a bit of a slapper from the blue line yesterday which is the first I've seen from him since his November injury. If the line gels, gets proper 3rd line minutes, and Krebs learns to use VO as a decoy and shoot the puck himself from time-to-time it could be a really nice fit.

I look at those charts and I feel I'm back in 1969, staring at a lava lamp on LSD with a black light in the background. My eye test says he's a skilled talented kid who's not strong enough to win board battles, is better in open space then he is playing a heavy game and he still needs time to figure out a man's game in the NHL. Flashes glimmers of light but gets knocked off the puck easily. He's not experienced enough to be the guy of his line and needs someone to get him the puck in open space (Asplund) and someone to finish his vision (Olofsson/Quinn). As for his defense almost every young guy has these issues but fortunately he does hustle and try which is all we can ask for at the moment until he figures it out.

First of all pick a position for Krebs and leave him there. That position needs to be centre. Give him the same line mates to create chemistry with. When everyone is back and healthy then the option is there to send him to Rochester for a playoff run.
