Can’t forget about R2, although I did.  He’s got a shot but is likely just a place holder in the org until more C/W depth comes into the org.  Biro may eclipse him this season.

I was saying…

Is Pekar going to play in the NHL?

Unless something really changes, I highly doubt it.  He’s not even a good pest.  Teams barely pay him mind. Offensively he’s offensive.

He missed Kozak with 4 helpers last night. Kid is up to 61 points in 51 games. Not bad for a 7th rounder.

Was just coming to talk about Kozak. Sounds like he's really improved this year.

Kozak has 4g, 15a +10 in his last 10 games.

Shane Wright who is 1yr younger has 5g, 11a, +7 in his last 10 games.

Just interesting, doesn't necessarily mean much.

Best PK in the OHL and he also has 7 shorties.
Point a game production this year, 47pts in 47 games after not playing last year and getting 14 points in 54 games as a 16 year old. Scouts did some good work or were lucky.

Takes a little of both

5 pts in 41 ahl games for Pekar. He's most likely not an NHL player

And to be clear, this is happening on a team that has had crazy lineups holes this year due to injuries, illness, and call ups and he still hasn’t been able to play himself off the 4th line.

Overage CHL prospects putting up point a game isn’t uncommon or particularly noteworthy

Not disputing your point, but he is still 18, unless you meant past his draft year by overage?

To your point, 12 other U19 OHL players have better points per game.

Like it’s better to do it than not obviously, it’s just, as I’m sure you know, when you follow the NHL for this long you get used to seeing the Dylan Hunters (Sabres, 2004) of the world light up the junior leagues with 100+ point seasons after getting drafted and it rarely translates

Probably just a mark of being old

Bloom isn’t an overager. Overager is someone over 20 during an OHL season.

Whoops, thanks for the clarification. Dudacek said the same thing.

Just amend the sentence to read “post-draft”.

I’m just surprised he was drafted. 14 points in 54 games was his last OHL action, pre draft.

He’s trending in the right direction. At a minimum he would help the Amerks in a year or two.
