If you just acquire a couple "maybe" top 6 guys you still run a risk of positions being inadequately filled.

Although he moved to wing in recent years, couldn’t Girgensons fill the fourth line spot? 2

Really hard to say much about the OHL guys. Took a shot on a guy who they probably think developed a lot, but didn’t play games to shoe it in.

Thorner Posted July 25, 2021 Report Posted July 25, 2021 Remember when Girgensons took out our young to-be star Jack Eichel? Outlasted him in the end, looks like

LGR4GM Posted November 6, 2021 Author Report Posted November 6, 2021 Bump He's doing a little bit okay for a June bday who played 0 games last year. 11 points in 8 game and is an assistant captain 5 1
Thorner Posted November 6, 2021 Report Posted November 6, 2021 Might as well just post updates when one of our prospects *doesn’t* look like a future NHL star, at this point. 1

No question that these players are not fully developed but that's not a bad starting point to work with for the next couple of years. In the next draft the Sabres will have three first round picks. It wouldn't be surprising that at least one top-tier center prospect will be added to the system. 1

The article mentions he's a LW and then talks only of winger during the projection area
