It's gotta be hard to come from Russia and go to school in NCAA.  It's hard enough for these guys to transition over to the NHL with the language and culture differences.

That being said it should help him be ready to play with us in Rochester when he makes the jump.

Need to send these guys something to start adding weight and muscle to their frames.  Really skinny kids that we're drafting.  Lots of skill.

That's why he is doing a year in the USHL to get used to NA and then in 2022 he will be in the NCAA

His numbers the year before COVID are sick: 28 goals and 85 points in 24 games?

That's nuts. Hopefully does well in USHL next year! Then aces the Russian 101 class at uni as he dominates.

I’m thinking the Russian kids in particular are going to be heavier than their listed weights already. We may be seeing their 16-year-old weights there.

Very possible without the draft. Getting heights and weights out of Russia is wonky

Good point.  It seems to me that Oskari Laaksonen's stats were off when we drafted him showing him much shorter and lighter than he was at the time of the draft.

Maybe he had help, but in an e-mail interview, he displayed fantastic English skills save for an occasional slip-up.  Methinks that he could read Shakespeare.
