SDS Posted November 9, 2021 Report Posted November 9, 2021 Is Jonathan Quick the shortest starting goalie in the NHL right now? Levi is 1 inch shorter I believe. Quote
dudacek Posted November 9, 2021 Report Posted November 9, 2021 Nashville’s Juuse Saros is the smallest, 5’10” 180 Levi is 6’0” 185 Quick is 6’1 215, Cal Petersen 6’1”, 185 Sabre starter Dustin Tokarski is 6’0, 198 Quote

He looks comfortable in front of the camera as well. Beating #6 Harvard will make the beer taste better, I guess the drinking age laws can be worked around. Quote

Thorner Posted November 9, 2021 Report Posted November 9, 2021 As long as they aren’t waiting on him specifically to arrive and intend on using placeholders until then, we should be alright. If they *don’t* count on Levi/Portillo, I feel much better about their chances of coming up big for us a little down the line. Levi particularly, obviously 1 Quote

Flashsabre Posted November 9, 2021 Report Posted November 9, 2021 https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/video/luongo-pushed-panthers-draft-devon-levi/ Bill Zito says it was Luongo that identified Levi and pushed Florida to draft him. Sounds like they would have drafted him earlier but Luongo said hold off we can grab him later. 2 Quote

If Levi keeps it up, he will become a first round pick before we know it. Perhaps even first overall. Edited November 9, 2021 by K-9 1 2 1 Quote

Flashsabre Posted November 9, 2021 Report Posted November 9, 2021 There is an interview out there with Alex Killoran where he says he used to practice with Levi when he was 15-16 and that he couldn’t score on him. Quote

Recently I read an article where Nick Lidstrom compared Dahlin to Brian Leetch. 1/2 ain’t too bad, hopefully? Quote

LGR4GM Posted December 12, 2021 Report Posted December 12, 2021 No idea if this was posted but Levi is one of the smartest puck reading goalies for his age. Tracks plays so well and this video talks about it (jump to 3:31) 2 Quote
Norcal Posted December 12, 2021 Report Posted December 12, 2021 Cozens congratulates him at the end there, nice. So that guy thinks he'll be a pro goaltender, I agree. He's only gotten better since then also. 1 Quote

I know goalies take time but Spencer Knight has already made the jump, Levi should turn pro after this season. If he continues at this pace I can’t see what another NCAA season will do for him. 2 Quote
