Well, everyone has to hoping for Stankoven, right?

Tiny, fearless offensive centre with the best name in the draft?

I'm confident that some people will say that it is a stinky pick.

Sounds like a guy with a career trajectory like Pu.

Shatter the "no CHL" rounds 2-7 bias and "KA won't draft a C" thing in one pick, with a great name? Sign me up

Whoops, RW according to Elite prospects.

That's 4 RWs in the 4 forward selections Adams has made in Rounds 1 and 2

Says LW on the screen

LW

Probably would have tried to wait and get him with the Boston pick. Seems reachy to me, especially with the talent still on the board.

He’s a LW

See him more listed at RW and I don't really trust their on-screen coverage to the same extent. Could be wrong just what I'm seeing

A guy we could probably snag with the Boston pick and another LHD?? I certainly don't have your expertise with draft picks but these seem strange to me??

Ville Koivunen is going to make some team look smart.

Good skating and shot selection. Theme cemented

He is not a good skater. https://www.eliteprospects.com/player/539226/prokhor-poltapov

At first look, one might think that this style wouldn’t necessarily work in the NHL. After all, Poltapov’s skating form, his lack of depth, rounded back, and inside edge recovery, isn’t all that compatible with his main skating pattern -- his desire to beat most defenders wide en route to the net. Only elite speedsters can ever hope to win such races against NHL opponents and Poltapov isn’t Josh Anderson. But, if the draft ever taught us a lesson, is that doubting players with this desire to go to the net, a giant offensive motor, and a bottomless tank of energy is a bad idea. They tend to exceed expectations. At some point, when a player’s tenacity reaches a certain level, it becomes a true skill, one that can rival fast hands and feet. And Poltapov isn’t simply a bulldog devoid of abilities. He is one of the better wall-manipulators in the entire draft. He invites defenders on his back, shields the puck by extending a knee or by using his bottom arm, and transforms intense backpressure into an escape tool; he slows down, leans against opponents, and lets their shoves propel him into open ice. He then attacks the goalie or other defenders with a combination of handling moves and deception. Poltapov has some savvy feints in his kit.

There was a study on Central scouting ranking. They say central scouting does very well through the first 2 to 3 rounds and then teams do better in rounds four through seven.
