When was the last playoff game with so many post-whistle "interactions"?

Two teams that hadn't met in the regular season have come to hate each other really quick.

It's almost like you guys forgot how sneaky hockey players are. You think Point would have slammed his own goalie like that, all things being equal?

You could see he lost a skate edge when he got pushed. When that happens at that speed you can’t control your direction.

Great game tonight.  The Lightning show they will fight.

I didn’t like the Zajack and Cirelli fight - with gloves on and sticks in theirs hands.  Looked odd to me, like two guys that don’t fight fighting.

Just saw the Lightning had seven dudes on the ice for their second goal, yikes

It's insane that isn't something that can be challenged on a goal. But given Tampa's entire game plan is built around pick plays and the refs don't give a ***** what else is new?

The extra players were at center ice and had no impact on the play. Technically a penalty but practically they didn’t make a difference.

Indeed and I do wish rules were applied like this but they are not so it should have been called.

So in an NFL game if one of the blockers on the other side from the play clotheslines a defensive player it's perfectly fine because it didn't affect the play?

No, just like he said, it would technically still be a penalty, but wouldn't affect the outcome of the play.  In both cases, it should be called (rules are rules), but not because it actually gave the team an actual unfair advantage.  It's unfortunate when something like that is missed.  However, there are cases where missed calls actually affect the outcome, which is unfair.

So you equate an attempt to injure with an extra player skating to the bench. 🙄

But it did give them an advantage. There was a player involved in the offense who shouldn’t have been because he should have still been on the bench until his teammate came off.

Man, what I would give to have the atmosphere of Vegas in Buffalo just one more night

Just put a hungry, hard working team out there and you will have that atmosphere in Buffalo.

I would be shocked if Buffalo played an important game over the next 3 years

Montreal is winning lord stanley.

why rebuild? If I was the Sabres I'd simply overpay whatever it takes for a great goalie and win a cup for myself

Don’t know about them winning but they have a history of stealing Cups with fabulous goaltending and team play.

Shea Weber is so solid back there, he controls the flow of the game.
