New idea!!

What if the Sabres traded players like Jack, Reino, and Risto for prospects and lots of picks.  Could the Sabres then use those picks to steal players away from teams who may not want to lose a players to Kraken for nothing.  Just imagine the Sabres getting several NHL players who will not be protected by current team.

If they are on the fence of being exposed or not, then they aren’t worth the trouble. It’ll be like WE’RE the expansion team.

How about just no trades? Let's just keep all our picks and go from there.

At this point I feel even if the Sabres drafted the big JC they'd still manage to screw it up.  He'd be requesting a trade by the second year off-season.
