LGR4GM Posted March 23, 2022 Report Posted March 23, 2022 You want centers then 2023 is the draft for you. Quote

Button’s list is usually an outlier because he does it based on what type of NHL career he thinks the player will have rather then where he sees the player currently. This year though none of the lists line up with each other so it will be fun to watch the CHL players tonight and see how they look. Edited March 23, 2022 by Flashsabre Quote
French Collection Posted March 23, 2022 Report Posted March 23, 2022 Sabres are on so I won’t watch the CHL top prospects game. It is only one game but there are a few players that can change their ranking. Scouts never see them compete vs their cross country peers and a few under the radar guys can have fantastic games. I’ll watch highlights and read the summary. Quote

Flashsabre Posted March 23, 2022 Report Posted March 23, 2022 If the Sabres won the lottery Shane Wright would be the pick. If the Sabres moved up to number 2 who would be the pick? Cooley? Slafkovsky? Nemec? Quote
Crusader1969 Posted March 24, 2022 Report Posted March 24, 2022 Am I reading this right, Warren is the fastest skater without the puck?? Quote

DarthEbriate Posted March 24, 2022 Report Posted March 24, 2022 If I'm GM and it's an EA NHL game, I am totally drafting Jagger Firkus in the round before he is expected to go. What a name! 1 Quote
Flashsabre Posted March 24, 2022 Report Posted March 24, 2022 Wright stood out among his peers tonight. Savoie has a lot of flash and skill Firkus was good but is tiny, like 150lbs Luneau and Nelson are rhd that can move the puck Noah Warren is an absolute animal of a human. My god he threw people around. He understands his strengths and plays to them. Reminds me of a bigger, right handed Mule. Some team will fall in love with him. Like late 1st or early 2nd. Team Red had Wright and Savoie but Team White just dominated most of the night. 1 Quote

I'm not sold on Warren. I see a physically mature kid being able to out muscle smaller opponents which won't exactly be how his nhl time goes. He's fine, but still sits in the 2nd round for me. Quote

He should be a 2nd rounder but I think a team like Arizona with two late firsts might reach. That was my first game watching him and my takeaway was that for such a large man he moves extremely well and he seems to know his game and plays within it. Reminds me of that Defensive tackle from Georgia, Davis. A large freakish guy with a specific skill set. Warren is 6’5, 220lbs. He will be able to outmuscle NHLers when he makes it. I liked Leneau’s game last night, he will be a first rounder for sure. Funny they both play for the same Gatineau team. Nelson was a bit hit or miss for me but the skill set is there for sure. This is a good year for a team looking to add RHDs to their system. Quote

Moves fine, would like a little more agility but my only issue is that if you draft warren you just need to know he's just okay at breakouts and the offensive side. If you are good with that, he's a solid prospect. Warren is why I want Jiricek. Jiri is everything Warren is but 2inches shorter with more offense. Quote

Yeah Warren is a guy you are drafting to be a specific physical shutdown guy. You need puck movers in your top 4. With Jiricek I would like a better read on his hockey IQ. I don’t want to draft another Risto high. Haven’t seen Jiricek enough to know so will have to see what the draftniks say about that aspect of his game. Quote
