Marvin Posted May 10, 2021 Report Posted May 10, 2021 No more tanking. Build the team to improve every year. Value ensemble play. Value team defence. Value team offence. Create a sound foundation and build from it. 3 1 Quote

They need to build and if last place is inevitable then so be it. We’re going to be in the bottom anyway. A twenty point improvement is still a bottom five pick, no need to blow it up. 2 Quote

Curt Posted May 10, 2021 Report Posted May 10, 2021 This thread is uncalled for. Lock it until after the 2021 draft at least. Please. 1 2 Quote
jad1 Posted May 11, 2021 Report Posted May 11, 2021 Well since they're looking to drop around 170 points out of the lineup by trading away Eichel, Reinhart, and Risto, why not embrace the Sabre-ness of it all? The draft is now our Stanley Cup. Some might call it a tank; the Sabres call it business as usual. 😉 Quote
inkman Posted July 26, 2021 Report Posted July 26, 2021 I love the reactions in this thread. People take sports too seriously. Quote

JohnC Posted July 26, 2021 Report Posted July 26, 2021 (edited) Attached is a 10 min link of Steve Kournianos from TheDraftAnalysis.com on WGR. He gives a very positive summary of the Sabre draft. At the end of the draft he talks well of the goalie pickup in the Reinhart trade. Included in the same line is a 13 min link with the Sabre Director of Amateur Scouting . https://www.audacy.com/wgr550/authors/howard-and-jeremy Edited July 26, 2021 by JohnC Quote
Kr632 Posted July 26, 2021 Report Posted July 26, 2021 Shane Wright has led my NHL 21 sabres franchise to 7 cup wins in 10 years. We all know video games and real life are pretty much the same thing so if we want 7 cups by 2033 we have to draft him. Seriously though any of the top three would be amazing 1 Quote
Huckleberry Posted July 26, 2021 Report Posted July 26, 2021 Serious question, can we still pick first next year ? With the only 2 lottery wins in 5 year rule ? Quote
