Can you imagine the hissy-fit Harrington would be throwing if he wasn't available? Would die laughing if they canceled it last minute. Sorry, not sorry. 1 Quote

They know nothing, but are just looking for cheap clicks and views. It drives up their clicks and gets them reads. At the end of the day, they don't care because it's not their market and don't have to hear the backlash. But the big boys do, so you won't hear them talk on it or tread lightly around it. Quote

PerreaultForever Posted May 9, 2021 Report Posted May 9, 2021 I truly cannot see him holding a presser to announce wanting out. At most he will say some vague stuff about what he expects from the organization to keep him happy, but mostly just the usual bs about things looking up at the end and they'll be better next year and he will be ready for the fall and yada yada yada. Nothing. Quote

steveoath Posted May 9, 2021 Report Posted May 9, 2021 Blah blah season didn't go the way we expected... blah blah... injury.. blah blah.... Covid.... blah blah... can't wait to come back healthy next year for playoff push.... blah blah... Quote
lost in dc Posted May 9, 2021 Report Posted May 9, 2021 I am tired of all this drama. It was a farce of a season and should have asterisks in the record books for a covid shortened season. Incredibly mishandled by NHL. IMO Quote
Kong Posted May 9, 2021 Report Posted May 9, 2021 (edited) I was reading about how Drury and the Rangers are going to go hard after Eichel this summer. Comment after comment of Ranger fans want Barkov instead. They say Eichel is an overpaid complainer, a crybaby, who is injury prone, can't win faceoffs, isn't physical and is a finesse player. Dolan also said he wants more grit...how Eichel fits the Rangers need for grit escapes me. Edited May 9, 2021 by Kong Quote
Thorner Posted May 9, 2021 Report Posted May 9, 2021 He's just gonna get up there, renew his commitment to Buffalo, and say, "Not three....not four....not 5..." Quote

Archie Lee Posted May 9, 2021 Report Posted May 9, 2021 15 hours ago, Gatorman0519 said: To trade Eichel we need to get a Lafontaine in return. You don’t trade franchise centers just going into their prime without getting something similar in return. Kakko, 2 D prospects, and a first round is a loss for us. If Eichel is traded in a Lafontaine / Turgeon style trade, then Eichel is likely the Lafontaine in the trade and the Sabres are the team getting Turgeon, Hogue, Krupp and McLlwain. It is a near universal opinion among Sabre fans, maybe all hockey fans and people, that the Sabres won the Turgeon/Lafontaine trade. I recognize that Lafontaine's career was cut-short due to injury and that he was the best player in the deal. But, it is worth noting that Lafontaine (385), Randy Wood (117) and Randy Hiller (1) combined for 503 points as Sabres. Lafontaine and Wood then added 118 points between the two of them after they left Buffalo. In total these players had 621 NHL points after they were traded to the Sabres. On the other side, Turgeon, Benoit Hogue, Uwe Krupp and Dave McLlwain combined for 1697 points after they were traded from the Sabres. Turgeon had over 1000 NHL points AFTER he left Buffalo. Krupp won the Stanley Cup with Colorado. Eichel has had some injury issues... Quote
