Oh boy...

Tbh I don't really expect too much from it. Probably just an update on Jack's health & the usual quick summary of the season & "we need to be better" stuff. But I'll spice things up a bit 😛

Coincidentally this video popped up on my YT feed just now:

Anyone see Jack being moved this summer as more of a possibility? Last year i would've said hell no but now it feels up in the air.

Feels like anything is on the table & given our history I suppose it should be.

Realistically, what would a franchise player call a press conference for?

1. I want out.

2. I don't want out and all these rumors are false.

3. Injury update.

4. Bad news of a personal nature that will affect the team.

 

I think 2. or 3. are the most likely.

Our captain having a presser on locker clean-out day should be a surprise to nobody. It is one of the few captainly ways Eichel has acted.

I'd expect him to go amongst the first speakers. Nothing really surprising.

 

Hopefully it'll add clarity to where he's at with recovery, and we'll go from there.

To trade Eichel we need to get a Lafontaine in return. You don’t trade franchise centers just going into their prime without getting something similar in return. Kakko, 2 D prospects, and a first round is a loss for us.

If we have to trade Eichel, I definitely tell NYR to piss off, and call LAK, going after Byfield. That's the kind of asset to center an Eichel deal around that we can live with.

I don't think he would have a PC if he wanted out. That wouldn't be the way to do it.

Jack didnt call a press conference, this is regular end-of-season availability

The media has been whining since Jack went out for a chance to talk to him.

Can you imagine the hissy-fit Harrington would be throwing if he wasn't available?

How do these trade speculators, including the big names sleep at night given all the BS they're constantly shelling out. They know nothing, but are just looking for cheap clicks and views.
