First Super Sunday Signing is announced as Steven McParland.

McParland will wear the #19 jersey for the Clan in 2022/23 and joins John Dunbar, Craig Peacock, Jordan Cownie, Stephen Dixon, Liam Stenton, Gergely Tóth, Zach Driscoll, Gary Haden and Colton Waltz on the roster for next season

And, in news that has gone down really well with the Purple Army, the King is back! Yes, Mathieu Roy is back with the Clan for another season following his top scoring exploits last year."

Excited to have Roy back. He's a PPG players and really exciting to watch.

First exhibition game of 22/23 season ended 5-3 to the Clan.

Good result against Scottish rivals up in Fife. Considering most of the players met for the first time last week is encouraging. 

Next up Dundee Stars travel to meet the Clan at the braehead arena. If you are ultra board you can stream the game (for a fee) here: https://www.clanihc.tv/ puck drop is 7pm UK time.  I make that 2pm est.

When does the regular season start and is it 15 pounds (that's rather steep!) for all games?

The season begins next Friday with the challenge Cup. Then we're into the league season. Unfortunately £15 is usual price for webcasts. That's the average ticket price for a game. The  owner of the Clan franchise doesn't like webcasts. 

Hopefully they do a better job of the highlights this year. I'll post any as soon as the club make them available.

Well, tell the owner that giving a reasonable price to some random from Buffalo who is absolutely not going to fly to Glasgow for hockey, isn't cutting into the team's profits.  I expect a full report on the results of that conversation.

Holy balls. They were awful tonight.

Lost 3-6

They look like a time who are yet to learn each others first names. GT was hung out to dry on several occasions. They looked OK early on cycling g the puck in the offensive zone, but the players didn't look like they knew where their teammates should be on breakouts etc.

On the plus side,  young scottish lad Liam Stenton acquitted himself well for the Clan. Really love seeing guys from the amateur Scottish clubs coming through. Craig Peacock scores 2 for us in a team MOTM performance.

Oh dear oh dear. On ice the Clan are woeful. Off ice it appears we are run by halfwits.

Head coach and chief executive officer  (GM) both suspended after the signing, then cancellation of contract of Lasse Uusivirta. A player who fled the US after being charged with sexual assault while at Alabama (UAH). Massive fan backlash as you can imagine with a protest/boycott planned for this evenings match against Belfast Giants.

It's good to know, but in a terrible way, that these kinds of BS things happen in Europe too.

It's absolutely shameful. I am glad the the purple army (clan fans) made the management see this is unacceptable.

They say a week is a long time in sports... it must seem like an f-ing century for the owner of the Clan.

In the wake of the attempted signing of Lasse Uusivirta, the lack of apology from the club's owner (Neil Black) has led to what could be the end of the road for us. All major sponsors have now suspended their funding, ticket prices are to be raised. After the support shown by the fans to ensure the Clan's survival in recent years this is an absolute kick in the teeth. I hope we can get though this with professional ice hockey in the west of Scotland intact. But it doesn't look good.

In a strange (pun intended and explained later) turn of events several of the main club sponsors are in negotiations to buy the Glasgow Clan. Led by John Strange of title sponsor Aspray they are currently performing their due diligence and will not comment further.

What a weird week this has been.

Oh yeah, the Clan let a 4-3 leas slip in the 3rd period last night and eventually lost in a shootout after a 4-4 regulation draw.

Our season begins tomorrow with th challenge cup. A lot of optimism here in Glasgow. Have some experienced vets to play with our youngsters. Can’t wait for the season to start. 
 

they had a fun PR night yesterday. Highland Ice Games night. Clan Stevenson Vs Clan Haden (Captain and asst). Some mad on ice stuff including Haggis Tossing and Zorb Soccer. Ended with a 3 on 3 game and our player intros and launch of 3 new Jerseys.
