Brawndo Posted April 23, 2021 Report Posted April 23, 2021 Is Third Time the Charm for the Sabres to beat the Bruins? UPL is scheduled to make His NHL Debut. Good Luck Kid You’re gonna need it. 1 Quote
bob_sauve28 Posted April 23, 2021 Report Posted April 23, 2021 Yup, good luck UPL! Isn't Tuukka Rask a UFA after the season? Hmmmm... Quote
PromoTheRobot Posted April 23, 2021 Report Posted April 23, 2021 At least Tokarski didn't set a high bar For UPL on Thursday. Quote

Zamboni Posted April 23, 2021 Report Posted April 23, 2021 I’ll go out on a limb here. I know it’s a crazy thought ... Scum bags ... 6 Sabres ... 2 Thompson, Olofsson, or Bryson with a goal Quote
Stads Posted April 23, 2021 Report Posted April 23, 2021 Milquetoast means timid so my little brain thought a timid womanizer would be quite chuckle inducing. If I have failed to elicit the aforementioned chuckles, then mea culpa 2 Quote
Mustache of God Posted April 23, 2021 Report Posted April 23, 2021 Minnesota Wildebeest. Tokarski was scary bad last night and I was surprised he wasn't yanked. Can 6K show him up? Quote

LTS Posted April 23, 2021 Report Posted April 23, 2021 Well... this should be interesting. But right now the Sabres cannot solve the Bruins, so it doesn't matter. Quote
pi2000 Posted April 23, 2021 Report Posted April 23, 2021 They've given up 80 shots and the past two games. UPL should get plenty of work. 1 Quote

The Bruins appear to be a worst case matchup for Buffalo. It’s like the 1980s all over again, without the 1st round disappointment. Quote
PerreaultForever Posted April 23, 2021 Report Posted April 23, 2021 This is the one we have a chance to win. Slim, but a chance. Bruins will be over confident. Bruins are old. Young legs and energy can come at them fast and if we can score early we have a chance. UPL has to, of course, surprise for that possibility, but why not? 3 Quote

Effectively yes, both them and the Isles would fall into this category. Both are strategy wise defensively skewed who play extremely physical and run heavy forechecks. Both are also made up mainly of vet players with youngsters slowly making their way through the ranks. Neither make many mistakes thus depriving us of our ability to get a few free offensive opportunities. Our team thrives on other team's mistakes and lighter and looser play which is the antithesis of Bruin or Isles hockey. Quote
