Brawndo Posted April 22, 2021 Report Posted April 22, 2021 Tonight is the second of three consecutive matchups between the two teams. Will this be the long awaited debut of UPL as the Sabres Netminder? Swayman in net for the Bruins. Quote

I feel like the casual fan is highly anticipating UPLs debut but the fans who have closely followed him through the AHL have some trepidation as this could be another 6 goal eruption akin to Ryan Miller’s debut. 2 Quote

Zamboni Posted April 22, 2021 Report Posted April 22, 2021 The first game UPL plays will go something like this for some fans. 😂 Quote
Zamboni Posted April 22, 2021 Report Posted April 22, 2021 Then ... premature hatred and disappointment sets in ... 😂 Quote

At this point these games don't really matter at AHL or NHL level - and there isn't really anyone left to prevent him from playing at the NHL level for a few games the rest of the season. I just hope he doesn't get too in his head that this is like "his shot". Just play your game, remember fundamentals, and he'll be fine. 1 Quote

DarthEbriate Posted April 22, 2021 Report Posted April 22, 2021 Is the consensus UPL, 6K, K^6, or Luuuukkonen (because he's a clone)? Yoda, I must know. Quote

KC Scouts Posted April 22, 2021 Report Posted April 22, 2021 (edited) I wouldn't be worried. Besides, we need to see where he is at. If he is an NHL caliber goalie, he wouldn't be "ruined" by getting shelled. The really good ones have no memory, moreover they don't give a sh**. If he has a confidence problem after getting shelled after his first NHL game, he's probably never going to be NHL worthy. Edited April 22, 2021 by KC Scouts Quote

I like 6K even if @inkman thinks we're trying to "make fetch happen." But UPL is the one that's going to stick. Edited April 22, 2021 by Eleven 1 Quote

Is it possible they want to see if this: Dahlin Joki (Ozone primarily) Samuelsson Risto (Dzone primarily) Bryson Borgen (the rest) is a viable starting defence for next year? Dahlin and Jokiharju have started taking the tougher assignments in terms of line match ups recently. Other than that go for it 1 Quote

Zamboni Posted April 22, 2021 Report Posted April 22, 2021 Good to see Borgen in I think KA is showcasing a lot of these young guys for potential trade currency. Or to see what vets are expendable. 2 Quote
