Norcal Posted April 18, 2021 Report Posted April 18, 2021 Eakin cannot win a puck battle vs Crosby to save his ass Quote

After the whistle, Dahlin and Rust share a little shove, and Thompson, the Tager, wanders over and escorts Rust away. Tage is our muscle? I'm liking Samuelsson thus far. 4 Quote
Pimlach Posted April 18, 2021 Report Posted April 18, 2021 Pretty good 1st period thus far. I wish the pp could put more shots on net. I like seeing 54 get some ice. Give him a taste, let him experience the next level, but limit his minutes. 2 Quote
Thorner Posted April 18, 2021 Report Posted April 18, 2021 The deliberateness of Dahlin's stickhandling, the poise, is simply orders of magnitude better now 5 Quote

Thorner Posted April 18, 2021 Report Posted April 18, 2021 What verbiage will Ray choose to end the period? I'll go with "really good" period 3 Quote

Carmel Corn Posted April 18, 2021 Report Posted April 18, 2021 Getting a little too cute with the passing in our own zone.... Quote
bob_sauve28 Posted April 18, 2021 Report Posted April 18, 2021 Nice period. Love their little passes to get out of trouble. Joki and Dahlin look so good together, they are just so on the same page. So glad Steve Smith is gone 3 Quote

Pimlach Posted April 18, 2021 Report Posted April 18, 2021 My first impressions of Samuelson: 1. He needs to work on his skating for sure. He takes a bit of time to get moving and get to where he should be. 2. He is not afraid to play a physical game, which is nice to see. 1 Quote
DarthEbriate Posted April 18, 2021 Report Posted April 18, 2021 1st period, Samuelsson with Risto. I wonder if we maintain the lead into the 3rd, whether Bryson rejoins Risto to hold the lead, as Risto will log a lot of minutes. Quote
Huckleberry Posted April 18, 2021 Report Posted April 18, 2021 I don't get miller being on PP2 though, Bryson has better skill to move the puck around. 3 Quote

I think they need to limit Samuelsson’s minutes, but I do like him getting a taste of the NHL. Quote

Norcal Posted April 18, 2021 Report Posted April 18, 2021 Bjork pretty quiet so far. New team excitement wearing off? Mittlestadt 5 of 8 on draws in the first Quote
Pimlach Posted April 18, 2021 Report Posted April 18, 2021 Yesterday after the game, the announcer talked about how hard the Sabres worked and said “the Sabres are playing much more like an NHL team”. I think that was in reference to RK’s system. It is a system that a poor team uses to keep the score close. Granato’s team is worth watching, even though they are outmanned on the talent side, they play like they think they can win. Which is step one to actually winning. 1 Quote

First period he decided to go all Dahlin at the side of his own net. The Sabres spent the next two minutes fighting off the Penguins in their own zone. Quote
