Marleau is about to do the unthinkable and break the record for the most games played in NHL history. He’s going to do it without a cup but the man is loyal as hell and has always been a pleasure to watch.

This stat is bonkers.

Couldn't figure out how to wrap my mind around that until I remembered the league was so much smaller in the earlier years.

Well all those years of only 6 teams probably makes that stat seem more impressive than it really is but it still is impressive nonetheless.

No two ways about it.  The feat is impressive.  Love seeing things like this happen.  In today's game to have a career like that just speaks volumes about his ability to remain relevant to a roster.
