"Cheer up, Rasmus! It's just hockey. Tomorrow you, me, Sam, and Risto are going to skip practice and player meetings for some strip clubs, casinos, and 8-ball parties with Bogo and Kane."

I'm sure they'd be thrilled to give that up to move to Buffalo.

They could buy a condo at the Avant, and still spend 7 nights a week on "the strip"...the Chippewa Strip! 😈

They would never know the difference between that and Vegas.

Throw down a few drinks, puck bunnies fighting over them...so there is not as much neon, what is their end goal? 😂

How is Brisson not over a couple of those guys?

Just musing: are we looking at a scenario where conditional picks go one way if Eichel returns to form but they go the other way if he does not?  Two-way conditional picks depending on the quality of the pieces coming to Buffalo and Eichel's play seems like a way to mitigate the risk for both sides.

Here's another one

Eichel, Johnson and 2023 3rd for Tuch, Theodore and Krebs with a conditional '23 1st in the event Eichel plays 50 games or gets 50 points in 23.

Reacquire Borgen for a 5th or something.

I actually like the team that sets up. It gives us a top end defense

Dahlin - Theodore

Power - Jokiharju

Samuelsson - Borgen

Pysyk (as the ever useful 7th Dman)

You'd have

Mitts, Krebs, Cozens, "Thompson?", Girgensons at Center depth,

Olofsson, Tuch, Quinn, Okposo at RW

Asplund, Peterka, Skinner, Murray? at LW

Then whatever we draft with our pick would be gravy; win the lottery and we'd instantaneously have a playoff roster with depth, skill and grit up and down the roster. All we'd need is a goalie.

The problem is we can't risk our 1sts in any conditions

It was a list of Vegas players only.

Well aware but the question was why is he not higher. Because he doesn't stand out on his stacked college team.

In the mean time, Sabres are 5-1-1 since the flushing of the major initial rebuild components, care to comment on that Jack?

It's a long season man.

Buffalo sports fans seen this one before.

You can't just ignore the schedule either. They have played a pretty easy schedule so far.  Take a look at the schedule they are going to be facing from the 2nd week of November through the next 30 days after that.....

Wash, Edmonton, Toronto, Pitt, Calgary, Rangers, CBus, Boston, Montreal, Det, Seattle, Fla, and Carolina.  3 back to backs in there and at one point 5 games in 7 days.

They have won the games that they had to play, so that is good, but it gets a lot harder between now and the beginning of December.

You know what's funny? Before the season nobody was supposed to be worse than us.

I thought Phoenix was. Carter Hutton was the #1 goalie, and they traded every good player for the future.

We don’t need defense.  That only becomes part of the equation to make salary work and also means we’re sending an ELC back.  Our defensive pipeline is all in college.  I still don’t see it.

I still think for salary purposes Tuch is a piece of the puzzle.

The deal is probably hung up on trying to include William Carrier in it so the hero can return home.
