"Ultimately it is in the players control of where they want to go." Adams on the Hall trade.

So basically Hall called the shots and our rookie GM went for a ride. Well that's nice.

Someone, anyone with a set of balls in the Buffalo sports market care to ask Adams, "what about the Buffalo fan base, have THEY NOT earned the right to expect AND receive the best for them?

The height of unprofessionalism is expected adherence to contractually negotiated terms in said profession? ok

Terry Pegula and Ralph Krueger.

and with the latter fired suddenly he was no longer above criticism or being forced the puck due to his adherence to Krueger's doctrine.

H/t to @Eleven... if the cost of announcing to the rest of the league we won't be hosed and to FAs that you won't play the Buffalo Sabres was a second-round pick and the corpse of Robert Bork, that's not too high a price to pay.

Fair enough.

I love it when the inmates run the asylum.  I'm in full agreement with Lawton.  He should have told Hall to give him more options so that he needed to do what's best for the franchise.  If Hall wouldn't then let him play out the year on the 4th line or sit in the pressbox.

What contractual right is Adams referring to?

Adams gave Hall a no movement clause and Hall absolutely used it

I think he spent the money, too

Adams did quite well to get a 2nd for Hall. And quite poorly by getting Hall.

It would be interesting what that signing actually cost us.

Would we be sitting here with Tyler Toffoli, for example? Would we have signed another goalie? Would Ralph still be here?

Toffoli would have been a better add.
