Apparently, he is considered very good looking

He has a perpetual scowl on his face, with lowered eyebrows, as though he is confused, angry, or both.

Like he just heard someone say something he can't believe, and he's reacting to it.

That's just his natural, default, look.  LOL

I just hope they don’t accumulate picks and then just start pissing them away on draft day to move up to take a prospect who has a 50/50 chance at best to make it.  I’d rather they pick up to 10 players and hope for a gem.

I always thought of it as his Taking the SAT and Getting to the Math Section look.

So Montour has a "Fresh Start!" and is "Super excited!" and ready to "finish off the year strong!"

Yeah, F U buddy.  ***** hockey player who will bounce around this league from team to team to team for a while, and retire as a multi-millionaire, despite not being worth a damned. There are hundreds of players just like him across the league.

He's a case study of what is wrong with modern NHL economics/ labor practices.

Zero reason not to do this now

If it was 1996, Rick would yodel his name after a goal. With Dan, we'll get, "Riikola drops one in... 10 second pause... Buffalo trails by two." Pass.

He's a very good player. It's a case of study of what has been wrong with Terry's handling of this franchise.

Montour will be a better player elsewhere than he was here.

Curious to see if Miller is also headed out or if that was just a maintenance thing.

Botterill will not even be gone a year and his only veteran acquisition left on the team will be Jeff Skinner and his worst contract in the NHL.

Jason was so, so bad.

That's hilarious.  If you think he's a "very good" player, you and I aren't going to see eye to eye on much, which actually explains a lot of your posts quite a bit.

So it's a 3rd rounder coming back.  Sounds about right.

Odds are it amounts to nothing, though it can always be bundled with other currency for something more than the pick would fetch on its own in a draft.

Adios, Montour!

No salary retained per Dreger

I was just about to say, as long as we didn’t retain then a 3rd was fair.

Does that suggest they are keeping their retention powder dry for a move beyond Hall?

And does the fact this was Florida suggest they aren't in on Hall?

Honestly I’d be overjoyed at this point as well and I’m sure his team mates are happy for him. Some may be envious. Good luck mr. montour.

Yep we’re retaining on Hall and Ullmark to Toronto for a first and a top prospect.

Ullmark alone at this point is worth a first. Hell, he's probably worth a 1st and a prospect.

A first and the little fella becomes a 3rd. Do we devalue players that much or Kevin Adams something something...

Not that his value hasn’t dropped, but Montour was under team control at the time and now he isn’t.

It was a 1st and Guhle vs a 3rd and 3 years of Montour playing games.

Ok.  I’m cool with this.  Now do more!
