Yup.  No real Prince there.  He had his moments.

By the way, It's Dark and Hell Is Hot was released in May of 98. X immediately followed up with Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood in December of 98. 

9 months between 2 of the best rap albums of the 90s. Probably 2 of the top 50 rap albums ever.

Prince Phillip couldn't come close to that kind of cultural significance.

I’m surprised by how many didn’t know of DMX.  If you were growing up in the late 90’s, he was almost  impossible to not know.

Not only that but he was front page news in Buffalo multiple times for being arrested for child support for his children in the area.

Right, it’s just kind of funny.  I think of him as very famous, because he was at the center of popular culture during a few of my formative years.
