Wow. That was refreshing. Its amazing how bad RK was at coaching even the basics when it comes to hockey fundamentals. Granado has them practicing hard and it carries over into the games. Who knew ?

Will Granato get serious consideration for the permanent job?  They do look like a completely different team out there.

If the players give great exit interviews why wouldn't they consider him and the staff?

Well it certainly was nice to see a real hockey game for a change.

I don't know how I feel about winning though. On the one hand yes, glad to see a win, but on the other the mark of futility means a greater likelihood of big changes that I think are still needed. I don't want there to be a thought that maybe it's not so bad and next year it'll be better, just blame it all on Kreuger. I don't want another year of the same.

But this was fun.

One thing to add though, and that's Hall is a complete waste of space (and money). When they all sucked he just blended in as one of the rest but now with many players working and skating his poor play really stands out. So many giveaways and such incredible disinterested ineffectiveness. He was our worst player and I doubt we get a lot for him at the deadline. Get him gone asap.

Why not? He's got how many games to go? Keep playing like this. Win some more. Get in the conversation.

Shame on KA for not dumping RK sooner.

I don't know.  RK staying took this team down to the absolute bottom of a bad 8 years.

"Never goin' back again"!

Maybe, but I think it's unlikely they hire him.  But maybe.

This is my fear. Nothing against him personally but a late season rise giving the false impression that everything is okay.

I suspect he and his assistants are making potential coaching candidates and GMs take notice.  They are way, way better.

Well I think the Sabres problems are primarily management/scouting/ownership related.

If Donato can get them respectable on the ice, the other problems may be able to be addressed better.

Look at the roster they have. If they can keep winning with them, that's something.

I wouldn't, we need a legit head coach but I'd be fine with keeping all three of them around regardless in different roles. Barring winning out the season I really don't have interest in trying to gauge a coach's talent in 27 or so worthless games.

God I'm happy they finally won!
