Sabres have been a bad franchise for 20 years.  Not all Pegulas fault.  Since the end of the 2000-2001 season they made the playoffs four times.   Tonight they might as well embrace tanking.

They aren’t tanking...unfortunately

It hasn’t been 20 years, yet.

12 or 13, maybe, although it does feel like 40 years sometimes.

Idk how you tank in a season where you are already the worst team in the league... trade players to be even worse?

At the beginning of the season I bet a friend whose a pens fan $20 each matchup between our teams. I'm already $40 in the hole and am considering to start betting against the sabres to recoup my losses. .. although knowing my luck if I start betting on the sabres they'll start winning.

They are deceptive.  If you look by division, we are far and away the worst team in the division.  There are several posts from @LGR4GM et al. where the Sabres are the ONLY team in our division in whatever the hockey antonym of "Gartner's Magic Quadrant" is.

I just refer to it as the Sabres Event Horizon.

Coach Granato has not touched base with Jack Eichel yet? Did I hear that right? This sounds strange about Jack.

Why? He's injured and unlikely to play for at least another month.

Yep, that’s when Hasek left. After blowing a 3-2 lead in games vs Pittsburgh. Other than 05-06 and 06-07, it’s been hockey hell here for 20 years and counting.

I’ve hated the D pairings all season but I guess when more than 50% of the D suck moose balls, the choices are limited.

They should ask Billy Hajt out of retirement , he would even be an improvement lol
