Srw1525 Posted March 19, 2021 Report Posted March 19, 2021 What could he go for on the market? A late round pick at best? Quote

LGR4GM Posted March 19, 2021 Report Posted March 19, 2021 Only thing I can think of is a pick, like a 4th or something Quote
Scottysabres Posted March 19, 2021 Report Posted March 19, 2021 Jonas has to be kicking his heels together in the air as he runs away from the circus. 1 Quote
Norcal Posted March 19, 2021 Report Posted March 19, 2021 Good for JJ. I hope he gets some coaching and confidence back and gets a legit chance in the league some day. 1 Quote
steveoath Posted March 19, 2021 Report Posted March 19, 2021 (edited) McKinnon straight up? Or do you think they'll need to throw in Makar? 😆 Edited March 19, 2021 by steveoath Quote
Thorner Posted March 19, 2021 Report Posted March 19, 2021 I don't think we'd get a 3rd, and they have no 4th. So it's a 5th or later likely Quote

dudacek Posted March 19, 2021 Report Posted March 19, 2021 My preference is a player in his early 20s who is a spare part in Colorado but has some upside that we can give an opportunity down the stretch after cleaning out all our UFAs. Quote

pi2000 Posted March 19, 2021 Report Posted March 19, 2021 They drafted him 7 years ago and developed him slowly, working his way up the ranks, SHL, ECHL, AHL, AHL all-star, etc.. developing like a goalie prospect should.... and now he's gone, some other team gets to reap the rewards of all the resources BUF put into his development. And we keep Carter Hutton. SMH I woulda put JJ back in Roch with UPL. Tokarski backing up Hutton with Ullmark out, and Houser on taxi squad. 7 Quote

He also had no future here with UPL taking the starting role in Rochester for this season and next. 1 Quote

Goalies can take a long time to develop, he was on a nice trajectory I would've kept him around. Quote
LGR4GM Posted March 19, 2021 Report Posted March 19, 2021 This trade clearly is bigger than just Johansson. There must be additional pieces that haven't been agreed upon yet otherwise holding him out of practice seems strange considering NO ONE knows the details of what would be a simple trade. 2 Quote

Considering it's the Sabres my guess is their fax machine is probably down. 5 Quote

Maybe they're having a problem with the player coming back in return. Like Colorado said Buffalo to their guy and he immediately chained himself to a steel beam and said "Hell No".....
