dudacek Posted March 16, 2021 Report Posted March 16, 2021 (edited) I cannot believe what I am watching (or, more accurately, watching less and less). Ralph's record: First 20 games .575 (P%) 21-40 .450 41-60 .500 61-COVID .333 Gets the roster he wants. Tells ownership and Adams "this team is close" 1-20 .375 21-now .083 He has no excuses. He got what he wanted. This is his team, with his people, playing his way. He's hit the firing trifecta: his team is significantly underachieving, his team is embarrassingly bad, and his team has lost the paying customer. I am at a loss to remember a coach ever going through something like this and not getting fired. Krueger's legacy is destroyed. He will never coach in North America again. For God sake, put him out of his misery. The damage this season is doing to the business is enormous, both in terms of selling tickets and attracting talent. Every night it becomes more unwatchable. It's like Terry wants to destroy Ralph and burn down the Sabres at the same time. Edited March 16, 2021 by dudacek 1 1 2 Quote
PerreaultForever Posted March 16, 2021 Report Posted March 16, 2021 He might get fired (eventually) but nobody's getting hired until the season is over. I am almost sure of that. This franchise is merely fulfilling their obligation to the league this year and will keep their costs at the bare minimum. Quote

I can't be the only who thinks any money they are saving by keeping Ralph will be devoured by the empty seats next fall? Nothing short of acquiring McDavid is going to bring people back into the building after another 25 games of this. 2 Quote

Norcal Posted March 16, 2021 Report Posted March 16, 2021 Take your pick of the coaches that are available right now. Not one of them would lose 11 in a row with this team. Sutter in Calgary just came in and won 3 in a row without practicing. Fire Krueger. Hire anyone. 5 Quote

This may be true at this point, regarding Krueger, but I don’t think it was true from the start of the season. Quote

bunomatic Posted March 16, 2021 Report Posted March 16, 2021 (edited) Fire Kevin Adams now. How long can a GM allow this shitshow to go on without a. Making a player move of some sort or b. Firing the damn coach. Adams tightens the noose on his own neck the longer he backs this pathetic excuse for a coach. This coach has never had success in this league, he will never have success in this league. He oversold his abilities to the braindead owners of this sadsack franchise and they ate it up. Somebody needs to get sacked. You can’t fire the idiot owners and shite runs downhill. Edited March 16, 2021 by bunomatic 1 Quote
Claude Balls Posted March 16, 2021 Report Posted March 16, 2021 The Pegula's are too busy sitting on their yacht relishing in all the great moves Beane has made. They could care less what the Sabres are doing. 1 Quote

bunomatic Posted March 16, 2021 Report Posted March 16, 2021 Its looking like he’ll need to be caught with pictures of himself, the Pegulas labradoodle and sabretooth in compromising positions because losing ain’t going to get it done. Thats so 2020. Quote

I think that's probably true. I think they believed, as we all hoped, that Hall would light it up, Skinner would get back to scoring at least 20, Staal would give us something (and some leadership), Dahlin would take a step forward not back and Ullmark would shine. Among other things. Quote
SabresBillsFan Posted March 16, 2021 Report Posted March 16, 2021 (edited) And the worst thing about them being this bad is the still won’t pick first. Doesn’t matter who they pick because they would destroy that player anyway. Edited March 16, 2021 by SabresBillsFan Quote

I thought the tank years were bad but this is rock bottom. If fans do show up they need to be booed from start to finish. nucci Posted March 16, 2021 Report Posted March 16, 2021 Let's give him some time to turn it around. If losing streak reaches around 20 I'd say it should be considered....maybe 25. Let's not rush in to this 1 Quote
bills_fan_in_raleigh Posted March 16, 2021 Report Posted March 16, 2021 What sickens me most is all this losing and the canes have now won 7 or 8 in a row. What a difference a real, coach can make Quote
Scottysabres Posted March 16, 2021 Report Posted March 16, 2021 Has anyone tried sacrificing a live chicken? How bout a tribal dance around a fire? Throwing a Virgin 8n to an active volcano? We've definitely missed some steps, Krueger is still here. Quote

Also I'm not sure the Sabres are as important to them the real money is in the NFL. 2 Quote
