Andrew Amerk Posted March 3, 2021 Report Posted March 3, 2021 (edited) The Rochester Americans (4-3-0-0) are back on home ice looking to snap out of a two-game skid tonight as they host the first-place Utica Comets (5-1-0-1) in a North Division matchup at The Blue Cross Arena. Tonight’s 7:05 p.m. contest will be the fourth of 14 scheduled meetings between the two teams this season and also will be carried live on The Sports Leader 95.7 FM/950 AM ESPN Rochester as well as AHLTV. Rochester is 1-2-0-0 in the season series against the Comets after dropping a 7-2 decision in the teams’ previous get-together in Utica this past Friday. The contest remained a 2-2 tie through 40 minutes until the Comets erupted for a season-high five goals during the final period to snap the Amerks’ four-game win streak. Andrew Amerk Posted March 4, 2021 Author Report Posted March 4, 2021 Comets up 1-0 only 59 seconds into the game after entering the zone illegally. Quote
Andrew Amerk Posted March 4, 2021 Author Report Posted March 4, 2021 Dea wins a draw back to Fitzgerald, who promptly ties the game 1-1 with 2 minutes left in the 1st. Quote
Andrew Amerk Posted March 4, 2021 Author Report Posted March 4, 2021 Comets dominated possession and play for most of the 1st, up until the end. 6K stopped 13 of 14 Comets shots. Amerks with only 6 shots. Game tied 1-1, with Comets starting the 2nd on a PP. Quote
Andrew Amerk Posted March 4, 2021 Author Report Posted March 4, 2021 Fitzgerald with a shorty 9 seconds into the 2nd. Amerks 2-1. Quote
Palm Trees And Taxes Posted March 4, 2021 Report Posted March 4, 2021 I know its early but UPL's numbers looking sadly like they will fit the big team all too well Quote
Andrew Amerk Posted March 4, 2021 Author Report Posted March 4, 2021 Murray with a goal on a strong push and scramble in front with Fogarty and Mersch. 3-1 Amerks. 6K now with 20 saves on 21 shots. Looking very good. Quote
Norcal Posted March 4, 2021 Report Posted March 4, 2021 Watching a little delayed from an appointment. Just saw Fitzgeralds second goal. UPL faced alot of shots in the first Quote
Norcal Posted March 4, 2021 Report Posted March 4, 2021 UPL was nice tonight! Murray lives around the opponents goal Utica came at em but the kids came out on top anyways 5 on 3 4 minute high stick in the 3rd didn't help either Quote
Andrew Amerk Posted March 4, 2021 Author Report Posted March 4, 2021 6K stopped 32 of 34 shots. And the first goal shouldn’t have counted because the Comets were way offsides. Solid game for the Amerks and especially 6K. Quote

Other than that, he has been pretty good, no? Being a 21 year old goalie in the AHL and all. 1 Quote
