Norcal Posted February 27, 2021 Report Posted February 27, 2021 Mitts 3 points in 6 games this year, says the game has slowed down for him....keep it up bud! 1 Quote
dudacek Posted February 27, 2021 Report Posted February 27, 2021 Just now, SwampD said: Boy, if we're seeing the Skinner that Krueger wants today, I'm gonna have to side with Jeff. "So, instead of skating with the puck, even if you have open ice to do it, I want a limp backhand pass in the opposite direction. Look, if we're going to score, I want to only be if we go past all five of their guys, so I want to give them a chance to get back." This. He’s either been completely neutered by over coaching, or he is being obstinate to prove a point, because this is easily his worst period of the year. And he is dragging Sheahan and Mittelstadt down. Staal sets up a wide-open Cozens in the slot for the Sabres best chance for the period there and neither guy even mentioned it happened. A few minutes Earlier, Eakin throws himself in front of a puck on the PK to block a shot that was headed into the open net with Hutton down and out. We get Rayzor “that was a bit of a cluster.” Bryson takes a penalty be lifting Hayes stick to save another goal and we get “Hayes missed the open net” and “Bryson clipped him with a high stick.” Call what is happening, please. They are so disengaged. Cozens needs to bury that I agree, Rayzor was talking before the game about how distracted he was blah blah I was gonna post that he was distracted, wonder what we would get today haha. Unfortunately for RJ I think he's just finished. No shame, he's been one of the best but the game has passed him by. Quote
Norcal Posted February 27, 2021 Report Posted February 27, 2021 Sad to say but...RJs best call of the season was a commercial he read earlier 0-11 defensive faceoffs Quote
Pimlach Posted February 27, 2021 Report Posted February 27, 2021 Mitts interview after first period. He looks much older and much more mature now. A beard is coming in. Definitely has added muscle to his upper body shoulders and chest. I am betting he can do at least 5 pull ups now. His lower body already had a wide stance and some size so there is something to work with. I think there is still a chance he can develop into a solid top 6 forward. Keep adding strength, work core to maintain speed and overall conditioning, continue to develop hands and skills. Quote

The system better bear some fruit soon, cuz all it's doing now is slowing the entire team down. 1 Quote

He’s a legend because of his cadence would match and amplify the flow of the game so well, but he’s a hall-of-farmer because he was so dialed in to what was happening. That’s vanished entirely. All he’s got now is the sound of his voice. Quote

Had me on the edge of my seat alot as a kid or listening to the radio call while playing sock hockey on my kitchen floor. Edited February 27, 2021 by Norcal Quote
dudacek Posted February 27, 2021 Report Posted February 27, 2021 Gotta say Bryson so far is sure looking like we what hoped we were getting with Montour. Such a great skater. 2 1 Quote
Sabres Fan in NS Posted February 27, 2021 Report Posted February 27, 2021 What did I miss? Anything exciting? MUST WIN!! MUST BEAT THESE DASTARDLY FLYERS!! GO SABRES!! Quote
DarthEbriate Posted February 27, 2021 Report Posted February 27, 2021 Ristolainen... back from COVID and likely needing just to get his legs under him... led the team in ice time in the first. Quote
Stoner Posted February 27, 2021 Report Posted February 27, 2021 Another trooper tried to tell Bryson to use his reverse thruster, but the transmission hit some space rocks. Am I doing it right? 1 Quote
dudacek Posted February 27, 2021 Report Posted February 27, 2021 What a horrible shift from Skinner. Two blown exits, and he managed to be the last one up and the last one back on every rush. 1 Quote
Scottysabres Posted February 27, 2021 Report Posted February 27, 2021 Staal gets thrown out of the dot a lot. Quote
Pimlach Posted February 27, 2021 Report Posted February 27, 2021 Did Montour take away a Flyers stick? And then use it? Quote
SwampD Posted February 27, 2021 Report Posted February 27, 2021 "Oh, and remember, the goal of all this is to set up an easily picked off centering pass." Quote

dudacek Posted February 27, 2021 Report Posted February 27, 2021 Considering what Reinhart got a penalty for, he has a point Quote
DarthEbriate Posted February 27, 2021 Report Posted February 27, 2021 Flyers broadcast is familiar NBC team... sound professional. They just noted that Ristolainen missed 7 games and still leads the Sabres in hits on the season. Quote

Norcal Posted February 27, 2021 Report Posted February 27, 2021 Hemmed in an entire shift and they roll out the Okposo line? Quote
