What the hell is Dunleavy talking about?! Road team this home team that

"Sabres have jump, so far the Devils look like the home team".

I have never seen a team consistently over a period of years hit goalies directly in the chest or pads with shots from point blank range as much as I have with the Sabres. It's almost impossible to be that bad at scoring from those areas for this amount of time as they have.

Borgen looking like an old style “stay at home” defenseman.  Blocking shots.

Gives Dahlin a chance to join the rush...perfect pair

Good period. If we get the PPs we can really take hold of this game

Just imagine when Eichel, Hall, Skinner, and Reinhart, and Dahlin start scoring!

lol

2 PKs and leading 12-8 in shots. And the Devils put up a stat late-ish in the period. The Sabres had blocked 10 shots to the Devils 0. So... we're shooting from closer and in the slot. We're getting shots through from further out. Just gotta capitalize on some of the rebounds.

This is league-wide. The goalies are amazingly fast and so good at staying calm and square that anything not labeled for a corner is in their chest. There was a fantastic flurry between WPG-VAN last night and a beautiful pass, beautiful shot... and then a rebound right to the far side. Tap-in with the goalie on the other side of the cage. 20 years ago only Hasek makes that save with any regularity. Nope. Goalie just calmly pushed back across and didn't overcommit... right in the chest.

Based on the Sabres ridiculously low shooting percentage over several years I will say the Sabres are consistently worse than other teams.
