Gatorman0519 Posted February 19, 2021 Report Posted February 19, 2021 GM Kevin’s team is a disaster. RK is clueless. The culture is the most toxic in the league. Maybe in history in the modern era. Bring in Gallant now. 5 1 Quote
PerreaultForever Posted February 19, 2021 Report Posted February 19, 2021 Now who says these guys aren't learning? Dahlin smashed his stick down in fine Eichelian fashion at the end of the game. (same team, same problems, same result) 1 Quote
Claude Balls Posted February 19, 2021 Report Posted February 19, 2021 The Hindenburg, The Titanic, 9/11, The Buffalo Sabres. Some disasters just belong together. 1 Quote
Nitro60 Posted February 19, 2021 Report Posted February 19, 2021 RK was a bad hire. Nice guy but is needs to end. 1 Quote
Torpedo Forecheck Posted February 19, 2021 Report Posted February 19, 2021 This coaching staff has lost the team period. There is no belief whatsoever they have the answers, and why should they?what have they ever done? 1 Quote
SwampD Posted February 19, 2021 Report Posted February 19, 2021 I at least saw a few moments of decent hockey from them tonight. Not enough. And they weren’t as good as their mistakes were bad. Quote
GASabresIUFAN Posted February 19, 2021 Report Posted February 19, 2021 My daughter asked why I wasn’t watching the game. My answer was simple. ‘Why?” Her response. “Good point.” Quote
miles Posted February 19, 2021 Report Posted February 19, 2021 hmm. glad i didnt bother to turn on the game tonight Quote
bunomatic Posted February 19, 2021 Report Posted February 19, 2021 (edited) At some point we need to see results. Not sure what else to say. We are a tank worthy team getting tank like results. Thats not what this particular coach sold himself to the Pegulas as. Did he misrepresent himself and his abilities ? Is he really this bad ? Is this team really this bad ? Perhaps, but the others were one-time quick events. I don't know how categorize a disaster that lasts 10+ years...is there such a thing as an uber disaster? 1 Quote

DarthEbriate Posted February 19, 2021 Report Posted February 19, 2021 Listless, disengaged, and no push back. Then, late in the third they started hustling a bit more, but were ineffective with passes, puck retrievals, etc. Skating 6-5, the Caps played keep away in the Sabres end... they just didn't care Quote

Second Line Center Posted February 19, 2021 Report Posted February 19, 2021 Getting his resume polished and gaining some NHL front office experience, future Sabres GM Michael Peca is now overseeing Player Development for the Capitals. That's all I got. Wake me up when that happens. Quote

Gatorman0519 Posted February 19, 2021 Report Posted February 19, 2021 It’s tough to figure out a way out if this. Plus we are straddled with some really bad contracts. I see no end in sight. 1 Quote

repster Posted February 19, 2021 Report Posted February 19, 2021 (edited) If this keeps up, I could see the Sabres entering bankruptcy again. Seriously, when fans are able to buy tickets again, who would? Again, I was going to not buy a mini-pack for the first time in two decades. Hope sprung eternal on paper in the offseason. It was fool’s gold. Eichel is a shadow of himself from last year. Dahlin is so pitiful defensively, and Hall is totally lost. No wonder he isn’t still on NJ or Arizona anymore. No wonder Skinner was traded out of Carolina for a bag of pucks. Ralph is a good guy but there is no offensive system in play. His only answers come from defensive structure. No wonder chz rep was fired. Kim can see the writing on the wall. I will be canceling my NHL App subscription and go back to watching hockey in the Canadian division - anything outside the Leafs. Sadly, as an occasional poster and long time lurker, I think that’s it for me again, best of luck you regular posters. Edited February 19, 2021 by repster 1 1 Quote
dejeanneret Posted February 19, 2021 Report Posted February 19, 2021 (edited) Jeff Skinner 18-19: 82 games-40g-23a-63p Jeff Skinner 19-20, 20-21: 71 games-14g-10a-24p The guy has been a scoring machine for most of his career. A head coach plays his best players to their strengths. Perhaps it wasn't the best move signing him to $9m AAV. But he sure as heck is worth more than what he is producing right now. That's on RK. This team has scorers and guys that can make plays. Olofsson, Hall, Eichel, Reinhart, Skinner, Staal are all guys that can put up 20+ goals and 50+ points. Not to mention Dahlin looking completely lost. 6 goals from our D-men in 72 man games? Ralph is either using a system that isn't allowing them to play their best hockey, or not allowing players to play to their strengths. There is no other excuse. None. Krueger needs to be given an admin role and we need to bring in a HC that can use these players to their strengths and allow them to play fast and produce.
