Zamboni Posted February 16, 2021 Report Posted February 16, 2021 Not surprised at the score after 20. Quote

He doesn't make that shot if he's fighting off a defender. To my eye, Dahlin let him get a bit of an edge on him, but recovered to lose no further ground, keeping him to the outside in the process. The Islander player had to settle for a very poor shot. It wasn't a perfect play but his error was not anything unaccounted for to the point where a goal had any business going in. It was an Expected Save, and our goalie didn't save it. That's why we have those stats. 1 Quote

There were two sabers Reinhardt and Miller covering the other side. Rasmus had no business playing off his man. No reason to even allow a shot. 2 1 Quote

You could see he was thinking about whether or not he should flip around and skate forward with Pageau and by the time he decided not to, Pageau was untouched at the face-off dot 1 Quote
Gatorman0519 Posted February 16, 2021 Report Posted February 16, 2021 95% of the time goalies make that save. Bottom line. 1 1 Quote

JoeSchmoe Posted February 16, 2021 Report Posted February 16, 2021 I thought Dahlin gapped it okay, but could have prevented the shot by making a check prior to what was a weak shot. My only question is if Dahlin commits to playing the man, and the opponent has a backup, it could backfire. Quote

But to quote the great one, "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take." Driving the player into the boards equals no save required. Quote
Gatorman0519 Posted February 16, 2021 Report Posted February 16, 2021 This is getting serious. We need to get it going. With the teams in our regular division improving, we could be looking at the drought record next year (11 years). I’m getting nervous at this point. Quote
Slack_in_MA Posted February 16, 2021 Report Posted February 16, 2021 OK, OK, OK... can we agree that Linus played it worse than Dahlin, but Dahlin could've played it better, and then move on? 2 Quote
7+6=13 Posted February 16, 2021 Report Posted February 16, 2021 Why won't you seal the post when the guys on the far side? Ullmark: but but what if he doesn't shoot and passes? I have to be able to get over in time. Ugh Quote
Brawndo Posted February 16, 2021 Author Report Posted February 16, 2021 Borgen looked pretty good that period. Back to the taxi squad ASAP Quote

The all time drought window also coincides with the timing of when I believe Jack would ask out, too. That's when his NMC kicks in and he has say. 1 Quote
bob_sauve28 Posted February 16, 2021 Report Posted February 16, 2021 Alright!!! 6th ranked PP comes through. Life! Quote
Gatorman0519 Posted February 16, 2021 Report Posted February 16, 2021 At least we got a power play again! Quote
Thorner Posted February 16, 2021 Report Posted February 16, 2021 Some really sick work by Dahlin on that powerplay, including a quick keep in on the far boards on the sequence preceding the goal 1 Quote
