Kristian Posted January 31, 2021 Report Posted January 31, 2021 RK is serving up the hot cocoa in the intermission, no worries. Man, I want to see stalls ripped out of the wall in that locker room, but who am I kidding. Ah well, the team doesn’t care, so why should I? 😎 3 Quote

They don't bring urgency, they don't take the body, they get in the opposing goalie's way only sometimes and the defence is still way too soft. This defence would get eaten up in the playoffs. Is New Jersey going to take 3 of 4 points this weekend using basically 2 AHL goaltenders? If so, that is all you need to know. Lol what? Quote
John Tucker Posted January 31, 2021 Report Posted January 31, 2021 Yep... That's the team I'm accustomed to watching over the last decade... Might be awhile before I watch my 2nd game of the year. Pathetic franchise 2 Quote
dudacek Posted January 31, 2021 Report Posted January 31, 2021 For the most part during this homestand the skill guys haven’t shown enough urgency on the attack and the grinders havent shown enough finish. I’m tempted to put a grinder with Jack and Jeff and another with Taylor and Eric. Give GA’s Mitts Cozens Olofsson line a shot. 1 1 Quote

Skinner has plenty of ice time and chances to do something. Lazar and Sheahan are not bad linemates. They are if you're a goal scorer...like Skinner. Quote

Yeah, they had to make desperation signings as Corey Crawford (their #1 goaltender for this season remember?) packed it in shortly before the season started. Wedgewood and Comrie are career AHL'ers with some NHL experience. Hope that cleared it up for you. 1 Quote

DarthEbriate Posted January 31, 2021 Report Posted January 31, 2021 We've played 9 games and our goal differential on the season is even (coming into the game). Our plus/minus includes -7 (Reinhart, Dahlin), -5 (Miller, Montour), and -4 (Eichel, Hall, Olofsson). The top players have been horrid 5 on 5. Today, it's also spreading to the bottom lines. Quote

CallawaySabres Posted January 31, 2021 Report Posted January 31, 2021 Hey, look at the bright side, Buffalo held onto a playoff spot for a few hours in 2021 10 games into the season. That is already more than I would have expected. 2 Quote
